INTERACTION - Overwhelming response to 3M product and application road shows
With an objective to expand their market share in the
digital media market, 3M is organizing product and
application road shows in all Indian metros. The road shows
conducted recently at New Delhi and Mumbai helped them
in their mission, as these were very successful for evoking
overwhelming response from the industry.
Expanding business
opportunities with 3M
Digital Printing Media,
was the message of 3M India’s
day long event. Aimed at
knowledge, experience and
successful application sharing with
the graphic manufacturing
industry, the shows were big hit
at New Delhi (February 27,
2008) and Mumbai (March 11,
2008) with an overwhelming
participations from respective
metros and surrounding cities.
According to Santhosh PG,
product manager, 3M, “It is our
way to reach out to many graphic
manufactures in India and
showcase our products, solu tions
and capabilities that can result in
new business opportunities for
each of the participating firms.”
The exhibits included live
demonstration of 3M products for
various graphic applications
starting from the economy 3M
Scotchcal ij1220 series films to the
specialty 3M Scotchcal ij8624
graphic film for textured surfaces.
“Graphic manufacturers must be
exposed to new developments
and should be convinced about
their performance. Only then
they will be in a position to offer
these to end-user brand. Our aim
of these road shows is to give
special attention to each
participant and ensure that they
go back with new ideas, solutions
and techniques to make a
difference,” said Debasish Gupta,
general manager, 3M Commercial
Graphics.
The event was enriched with
training videos complemented
with live demos and most of the
participants spent time in
grabbing quick tips and
techniques. A lucky draw was also
held in each location. The
winners (SS Digital, New Delhi;
Motif, Mumbai) were awarded
with the new 3M Graphic
Applicator’s tool kit.
With the success of these events
at Mumbai and New Delhi, the
company is girding up its loins
to repeat the success at
Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad
and Kolkata before the end of
September.
