An advanced signage printer with the Resin ink advantage, EPSON SureColor SC-R5030L is equipped with the highly sophisticated PrecisionCore TFP 12-channel drop-on-demand inkjet printhead and the printer’s unconventional features like advanced heating system and high-ink capacity eventually maintain colour consistency and non-stop printing at the maximum speed of 300sqft/hr, delivering graphics in resolution of 1200x2400dpi across a six-colour gamut encompassing CMYK, LC, LM, and Optimizer Pre-Coat.
“When we started dealing with this EPSON Resin printer a year ago, its speed was barely 90sqft/hr and running cost was Rs 22 per sqft. After we have undergone a series of rigorous R&D on various technical parameters of the machine and implementation of numerous updates, we finally manage to increase its speed to 300sqft/hr with drastic reduction in the running cost, which is now just Rs 6per sqft,” tells Rajat Mitra, Director, Caldron Graphics. He adds that EPSON SureColor SC-R5030L is ideally engineered for consistency and flexibility in print production with the power of Resin inks.
According to Rajat, Caldron Graphics had closely teamed up with EPSON India for working on the significant upgrades in the features and capabilities of EPSON SureColor SC-R5030L, specifically the speed. “Earlier, those who used to run this Resin printer had certain drawbacks in terms of productivity because it ran rather slower than the desired. We now make sure that whoever running this upgraded model, which we are exclusively authorised to supply across India, will no longer face any issue related to speed and many others,” he adds.
He continues, “After all, what we would proudly say today is that print service providers running the upgraded EPSON SureColor SC-R5030L are empowered to produce graphic prints in the so-called Latex quality at Eco-Solvent price. We say it so because both the Latex and Resin inks are water-based consumables. There’s around 50 to 60 percent gap in running costs when we compare between the Latex and Eco-Solvent inks. We thus fill up this gap because we offer the inks at the same price. Highly cost-effective and eco-friendly, Resin inks in the EPSON SureColor SC-R5030L are suitable for environments like hospitals and schools.”
Other added advantages or offerings which Caldron Graphics has bundled with the EPSON SureColor SC-R5030L include a handful of warranty programmes that even cover the printhead. When it comes to media flexibility, this upgraded EPSON Resin printer is compatible with a wider range of media comprising vinyl, wall covering, coated paper, film, and others. While handling roll media, EPSON SureColor SC-R5030L prints on materials of 64inch wide and 1mm thick. Graphics produced on this EPSON Resin printer are poked out uniquely because they get dried up instantly and scratch resistant without lamination.
So far, Caldron Graphics has sold EPSON SureColor SC-R5030L to four prominent print service providers, among which Okhla (New Delhi)-based Visual Displays is making the most of this groundbreaking Resin printer to produce outstanding graphics using unconventional materials. Until the time of preparing this write-up, the company had produced near about 100,000sqft of graphic prints on the printer. Gaurav Taneja, Director of Adtek Print & Media in Bareilly, is super excited about the performance of EPSON SureColor SC-R5030L, so shifted a lot of jobs from HP Latex to the new Resin printer mainly because of latter’s lower running cost and higher output speed.
