Debut edition of Media Expo in Chennai marks successful start

Co-located with 15th edition of Print Expo

Organised by Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India, the maiden edition of Media Expo in Chennai has marked a successful start, held on July 10-12, 2025 at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai, with inspiring of an array of trending products, technologies, and latest signage solutions. The show was co-located with the ever popular Print Expo, organised by Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India in collaboration with Showcase Trade Fairs and Business Media to exhibit commercial printing and packaging solutions.

Unleashing the untapped potential of India’s signage and advertising sector in the southern Indian market, debut edition of Media Expo showcased the latest products and innovations on a platform where forge connections and drive business growth in the region.

With a common inaugural session, Print Expo 2025 and Media Expo 2025 was inaugurated by the dignitaries which consisted of D Kumaravel, President, Coimbatore Master Printers Association and former General Secretary of AIFMP (All India Federation of Master Printers); Jun Sudo, President, Komori India; Manish Gupta, Head of Product Planning and Mmanagement, Konica Minolta Business Solutions India; T P Jain, Managing Director, Monotech Systems Limited; Kensuke Okumura, Senior Manager, Device Technology Division, Fujifilm India; Ram Prasad, Director, Sales and Marketing, Epson India; C Sukumaran, Senior Director, Product Communication Centre, Canon India; Arjun Khosla, Associate Director, Head, Production System Group, Xerox India; Kulakkada Pradeep, Founder & CEO, Future Schoolz; Raj Manek, Executive Director and Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings; Ashok Neelkant, Managing Director of Showcase Trade Fairs and Business Media Private; and Winston Pereira, Executive Director, Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India.

“By bringing machine manufacturers, suppliers, agencies and other key players together on one platform, maiden edition of Media Expo in Chennai concurrently with Print Expo 2025 is turned out to be a 360o execution,” said Raj Manek, Executive Director & Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings. New launches and innovative products were poured in at the Media Expo 2025.

Colors Digital India (CDI) at the show launched a new 10-ft all-in-one printer with RICOH Gen5 printhead—Heavy Body TM-Gen5. “It is said to be ‘all-in-one’ because of its capability to handle UV, eco-solvent, and solvent printing altogether in one system,” said Tejinder Singh, Director, Colors Digital India (CDI). On other side, JX Enterprise introduced a new Gongzheng Thunderjet UV RTR printer. Varun S, Manager, JX Enterprise, said this new system is an entry-level printer with compact body and excellent performance. “This new Thunderjet UV printer boasts an organised design and stable electric system. In addition, a lot of unconventional features like white ink recirculation, water cooling platen, and anti-collision unit make the printer stand unique among other models in its class which are readily available in the market.”

A big announcement from MIMAKI India at the expo was the company’s new model JV330-160, now available with 3M MCS Warranty. “Now, we offer our clients this warranty, a new opportunity for superiority in graphics,” stated Kenichiro (Ken) Seki, Managing Director, MIMAKI India Pvt Ltd. He added that Media Expo Chennai running parallel with Print Expo 2025 is good for pulling mixed profiles of visitors. Likewise, Taneja Digital Solutions also launched a new LX Hausys Backlit Fabric, attracting all crowds around. Rohit Taneja, Founder, Taneja Digital Solutions said the new fabric is defined by unique textures and vibrancy.

Among the other exhibitors launching new products at the show, EPSON India unveiled an all new SureColor SC-S913 eco-solvent signage printer at the expo. Gopalakrishnan J of G Pro Solutions, an authorised EPSON distributor, said the new printer is redefining a fresh standard in high-performance signage printing. A big crowd puller, Karni Alufab, a leading producer of textile and aluminium profiles for SEG displays with or without lighting, demonstrated its flagship round tube aluminium displays. “These innovative products are pretty much a part of our mission to unleash innovative solutions to help our customers stand out amid the crowds.”

As always, Sun Sign & Technologies (SST) at the expo was also a crowd puller with the display of innovative media and materials from SENFA, Starflex, etc. Deepak Gupta, Director, Sun Sign & Technologies (SST) said a range of PE Media at their stall were what it pulled crowds. Mehta Hitech Industries, formerly Mehta Can Cam Systems, demonstrated its line of flagship products comprising SINO 3202SK, EVA-1143, Presto, among others. Diwakar Mishra, National Sales Manager, Mehta Hitech Industries Limited, informed that the twin shows attracted crowds of heterogeneous profiles.

Coresigns, a modular sign and promotional solution provider, enthralled the crowds with their innovative, user-friendly, and sustainable products. Karan Arora, Founder & CEO, Coresigns LLP stated that the expo, despite being a launch edition, is well organised and attended. Crowds that gathered at Ashwin Enterprises were serious and focused as 35 machines being booked during the show. Vinod Bhanushali, CEO, Ashwin Enterprises, said the expo is an opportunity for them in flock together with their league of channel partners in south.

Chenbang Chenbang Inks at the show pulled good crowd to the company’s presentation of a finest range of solvent and eco-solvent inks. Rajat Mitra, Director, Caldron Chenbang Inks Private Limited, said the launch edition of Media Expo is impressively organised and trade visitors are quite focused.

Launched in a big way at the expo, Monotech Systems Limited unveiled Pixeljet Dynamo 320Pr—a Premium Series UV hybrid printer for high-speed, high-quality printing with the latest Konica Minolta 1024a (4-row) printheads, enabling seamless printing of display graphics up to 3200mm. “The debut edition of Media Expo in Chennai has been overwhelming, not only due to the new venue but also because it has attracted an entirely new audience,” said TP Jain, Managing Director, Monotech Systems Limited. Other big crowd-pullers were Wyte, Vibgyor, Lisco Systems, among others.
