Latest printer installed in the well-equipped production facility of New Delhi-based R.K Signs is a Docan UV S3200 roll-to-roll textile printer, supplied by VK Enterprises. The company’s motive behind the adoption of this advanced RTR printer is to upgrade their facility to a new level, which helps them meet the growing demands for new and innovative prints in the signage market.

R.K. Signs boasts of a production facility, which is already equipped with a line of advanced machines. Upgrading the facility, the company has adopted a new Docan UV S3200 roll-to-roll textile printer from VK Enterprises. “We have already installed a line of advanced solvent and eco-solvent printers in our facility. When the time had come for us to adopt a roll-to-roll textile printer, which is need of the hour, we decided to go for Docan UV S3200,” informs Rajeev Sharma of R.K. Signs.

Docan UV S3200 RTR printer is designed to produce high quality prints for diverse range of applications such as light-box fabric, backlit, ceiling graphics, etc. It can handle best quality print on 320cm wide flexible materials as well as narrow media accurately. Apart from textile, it can produce excellent prints on various materials including vinyl, mesh, one-way vision, foil and others using environment-friendly UV ink. The printer also offers various ways of printing ‘white’ on colour media, allowing three-layer spot colours.

When asked about Docan UV S3200’s features that impressed him in the first place, Rajeev says the printer is one of the best in its class, equipped with Kyocera KJ4A (3.5pl) printhead and it’s a future proof system. “Today demands for environment-friendly textile graphics keep increasing. Who knows when flex media will be banned everywhere? When such situation comes up, machines like Docan UV S3200 will save us from falling,” he tells. After the adoption of this Docan printer, R.K. Signs starts engaging in production of backlit and front-lit fabric prints.

Other advanced printers in the production facility of R.K. Signs are Colorjet VERVE from Colorjet India, Roland SolJet EJ-640 from Apsom Infotex and Mutoh Toucan 87 from NEGI Sign Systems & Supplies Co. “We are pleased to partner with some of the leading machine suppliers and manufacturers in the country. They and their machines play vital role in our success,” comments Rajeev, adding that their partnership with VK Enterprises is as old as the company (R.K. Signs) itself.

“Since our establishment in 1995 we have been proud user of machines from VK Enterprises. We are quite satisfied with their machines and after-sales service. Before this new Docan UV S3200, we adopted a Vee Kay solvent printer with KM 512i printhead from VK Enterprises, when we opened our production facility in Paharganj market,” says Rajeev. When the sealing drive hit many businesses in the central Delhi market, R.K. Signs moved its production facility out of the area, searching for a proper settlement, and then found the current location in Kirti Nagar Industrial Area.

R.K. Signs dominantly works for walk-in customers, jobbers and a few corporate clients. “Among the big corporate clients in our client list are Mayur Suiting and BSL Suiting. Some of our customers are more than 10 years old with us,” mentions Rajeev. Production team of R.K. Signs consists of eight sign making professionals, which includes two graphic designers.

Today, at the helm of R.K. Signs is Madhur Sharma, son of Rajeev, who is young, fully energetic and having a strong vision to take the company to another level.
