A few key large-format players at DPS (Digital Print & Sign) Expo 2023 in Lucknow

DPS (Digital Print & Sign) Expo 2023, which had organised from September 22 – 24, 2023 at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow, pulled crowds as the expo concurrently held with Photo Today that showcased photography equipment and solutions. Among the key exhibitors were a few key large-format payers at the expo.

Showcases at the DPS (Digital Print & Sign) Expo 2023 signified a mix bag of signage and predominantly huge arrays of exhibits from leading brands and companies from the photography sector. So, the footfalls at the show comprised signage, graphic arts people as well as a big cohort of photo professionals from reprographic houses, photo labs, etc.

Among the crowd-pulling exhibits at the expo was Colors Digital India (CDI), a regular participant at every edition of DPS Expo (Sign Today) anywhere across the country. CDI showcased its newly launched SAPPHIRO-JET UV flatbed at the expo. Tejinder Singh, Director, CDI (Colors Digital India) Private Limited, commented, “We are showing this newly introduced UV flatbed system for an ambitious approach that we offer photo people roaming at the show a new prospect of direct printing on thick materials like sun-boards and sun-pack sheets.”

Keith Electronics is a trusted source of advanced electronics and a sole dealer of MIMAKI, Yueming Laser and Graphtec. The company was also one of the key exhibitors at the show. Showcased at the company’s stand was an advanced Han’s Yueming CMH0604-B-A MDF cutting laser machine. “This machine we demonstrate here at our stand is a highly versatile laser cutting system from Yueming, which can handle diverse applications such as photo albums and frames,” told Ishita Pundir, Sales & Marketing Manager, Keith Electronics Pvt Ltd.

HP Latex 315 printer was the key demonstration from Insight. On the showcase of the highly advanced and versatile latex system, Gaurav Kumar, Techno Sales Manager, Insight Print Communications Pvt Ltd said that the printer is suitably and technically designed for both signage and photo graphics. He added, “HP Latex 315 is for expanding offerings of PSPs in productive way as its can print indoor graphics at the rate of 129 sq ft/hr taking up rolls up to 54 inch roll width.”

Brother at its well-crafted stand during the expo showcased a line of photo printers. “This expo is predominantly for photo professionals. Taking this note we are presenting a series of desktop photo printers which have advanced features and capability,” said Shariq Nazeer, Manager–Channel Sales, Brother International (India) Private Limited.

Among the few exhibitors which showcased printable media and materials was Adtiya Impex, which showcased a gamut of products for both photographic productions as well as signage applications. “This show is the right platform for getting in touch with heterogeneous visitors from different sectors,” mentioned BS Chahar from Aditya Impex. He added that the product line of Aditya Impex includes a range of versatile products comprising backlit translite, ultra clear vinyl, printable reflective, etc.

Associated Plastics was among the key exhibitors showcasing a wide range of signage and photo printing media and materials. Ankur Gupta, Director, Associated Plastics, said that the portfolio of products presented at the expo include both diverse proposes/applications whether signage or photo display systems and solutions. He further mentioned key products like LGP sheets, LED strips for photo frames, imported LED photo frames and others. Other showstoppers at the show from the realm of large-format printing were Santosh Impex, EPSON, FUJIFILM, among others.

GCO appointed as ORAFOL distributor of west region in India

Gita & Company (GCO), a one-stop solution provider of whole range and variants of digital printing media in the Indian signage and graphic arts industry, has been appointed as ORAFOL distributor of west region India. The deal was signed during the recent India visit of Dr Jonas Kolsch, Executive Vice President, Graphic Innovations, ORAFOL Europe GmbH, Oranienberg, Germany. GCO is assigned to distribute a gamut of ORAFOL materials including the vinyl graphic films, digital media, reflective products, etc.

Vishal Doshi, Director, Gita & Complany (GCO) said they are quite excited to widen the company’s product portfolio with the addition of ORAFOL materials. “The range ORAFOL products for general signage graphics and others for specialty applications consist of diverse qualities including entry-level range,” he adds.
