Colors Digital India (CDI) expands production facility with new UV flatbed hybrid printer

Colors Digital India (CDI), a household name in manufacturing digital large-format printers in India, boasts of its state-of-the-art production facility at Kasna Industrial Area in Greater Noida, Delhi-NCR, which has recently been expanded into double the size of its original set-up. Tejinder Singh, CEO, Colors Digital India (CDI) Pvt Ltd, tells Sign & Graphics about the expanded facility and a newly launched UV flatbed hybrid machine.

 Manufactured indigenously in its newly expanded facility, Colors Digital India (CDI) produces a rage of solvent, eco-solvent and UV printers under the models, viz. SuperJet, MegaJet, PowerJet and FutureJet. The facility, which was measured 6,000 sq ft in area, has been expanded to 11,000 sq ft now. “With the expansion of our facility, we are now fully capable to manufacturer a new line of UV machines,” says Tejinder Singh. He adds that they have introduced a new CDI-2515 UV flatbed hybrid printer (8×4 ft), suitably engineered for customers in the Indian market.

He continues, “Introduction of the new CDI-2515 UV flatbed hybrid printer is our dedicated effort to fulfill the need of our customers who wish to enter into UV flatbed printing, as the system is made affordably for PSPs (print service providers) in the Indian market.” Affordability with quality is the USP of CDI UV machines, with which the company eventually makes easy entry point for new comers into new market domains so that they can grab new business opportunity with the advanced technology.

The newly introduced CDI-UV flatbed hybrid system is equipped with RICOH Gen-5 printheads, facilitating high speed and best quality print outputs. Tejinder mentions that they understand the wide-format printing market is rapidly expanding with newer applications in diverse domains, so the new CDI-UV hybrid system is a competitively priced machine. In this, he adds that the newly introduced UV system will empower PSPs to involve in fulfilling the increasing demands for personalised and customised applications using UV technology.

Spread across 11,000 sq ft, the expanded production facility of CDI is well equipped with all the latest machineries to develop most advanced UV printers. Tejinder claims that the quality control they maintain during their production process is equally competent with the quality of overseas manufacturers that import machines to the Indian market. He adds that a plus point of CDI being a local manufacturer is that they are readily available to the calls of their Indian customers for any sort of issue—be it technical or spare part,
