At APPPEXPO, China, Aqua Tint Inks made India
proud and raised country’s bar of excellence
with its world-class products. Nitin Goswamy,
heading the team responsible for sales in North,
South and Central America, Aqua Tint Inks
opines his views with S K Khurana, S&G editor
on the sidelines of the show. Excerpts.
Indian ink manufacturing company –
Aqua Tint Inks is all set to give Chinese
competitors a run for their money, as they
are all set to venture into Chinese as well as
other international markets. As per Nitin,
“Since we have good products, which offer
quality second to none. So, it was obvious for
us to find a market in China. We are also
targeting international buyers and giving them
alternative sourcing opportunity.”

Now that they are ready to compete with
Chinese products, the prime concern could
be pricing. On asking about the company’s
pricing strategy, he replied, “As the prices are
going up, we’ll replan our pricing strategy and
try to keep a perfect balance between pricing
and quality. One thing which is most important
for us is quality, for which we’ll not
compromise, for sure.”
Mentioning further about the product
quality, Nitin added, “Our inks are XAAR
printhead approved quality. Also, Spectra
is beta testing our inks. Our unmatched
product quality delivers best to
consumers.”
To cater to such big market, one has to
have large production capacity. Till now
Aqua Tint is catering mainly to Indian
market, thus, we did ask Nitin about
company’s production capacity, and he
confidently reacted, “We have our own unit
at Baraoda for manufacturing finest digital
wide format inks. And we do have
sufficient capacity, that’s why we have
started focusing overseas markets by
participating in several industry shows and
expo. The year started with participation
in Sign & Graphic Imaging Middle East
(Feb), followed by Fespa Digital, Geneva
and recently APPPEXPO." Besides these,
company’s roster has many more
participations lined up, as Nitin explained,
“We are quite satisfied with the response
we got from these participated shows. And
looking forward for better success at Sau
Paulo (Brazil), Atlanta (SGIA), and Bangkok
(Fespa Digital)."
To be amongst the forerunners in today’s
competitive world, Aqua Tint thrives for
excellence through its continuous R&D
projects. “We are already working towards
multiple products, which we would be
disclosing later. We have been working
jointly with Xaar and Spectra and also now
planning with Epson,” Nitin divulged.
As far as OEMs are concerned, Nitin did
confirm that Aqua Tint has already been
supplying their inks to over half a dozen
companies in their brands.
Aqua Tint has vast and varied experience
of over 40 years in various areas of colour
