Blackjet inks turn Green - get RoHS certified

To maintain the environmental equilibrium, Blackjet Inks, the global inks suppliers has turned eco-friendly. Distributed in India by Sun Sign & Technologies, these inks are now certified compliant with the RoHS, Directive 2002/95/EC.

The RoHS Directive stands for “the Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment”. Approved inks are free from lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants etc.

The far-reaching business implications of the RoHS Directive have certainly got the attention of the electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) industries in the UK and throughout the world. The RoHS Directive was agreed at a European level at the beginning of 2003 and was developed to reduce the risks to health and the environment when EEE is disposed or recycled at the end of its useful life.
