Raster Printers and EFI extend strategic relationship
EFI, the world leader in customer-focused
digital printing innovation, and Raster Printers,
a leading manufacturer of mid-range flatbed
printing systems, recently announced that
customers who purchase Raster Printers’
Daytona H700UV 72-inch wide
production flatbed UV printer will also
immediately benefit from EFI’s
production, printing and proofing solution,
Fiery XF, bundled with the printer.
Utilizing Toshiba Tec’s CA4 grey scale
printheads with drop sizes ranging from 6 pL
to 42 pL, H700UV printer produces near
photographic quality images. A vacuum belt media
handling system can handle roll and rigid media up
to 72 inches wide, 1.8 inches thick and 100
pounds in weight. In 4-colour mode, eight
printheads, each with 318 nozzles, can
produce graphics at the speed of up to 320
square feet per hour. The addition of two
optional printheads enables white ink
printing in multiple modes to support
printing on clear as well as substrates of
different colours. While based on Colorproof
XF and Bestcolor technology, Fiery XF
leverages EFI’s proofing competence for
perfect colours on the Dayton printer.
According to Frank Mallozzi, vice president
