Canopus Imaging Systems entered the industry just about a decade ago. A brainchild of two highly enthusiastic partners, Deborshi Paul Choudhary (Debu) and Deepak Chavan, the company had garnered its reputation of being a fabulous supplier of solvent, eco-solvent, UV flatbed, RTR (roll-to-roll) and hybrid printers along with premium range of inks especially for the signage and décor industries.

With its head office in Mumbai, Canopus Imaging Systems has served the western and southern Indian markets with expansive customer bases across the regions. “Over the past one year we received tremendous responses from our customers in west and south, who are happy, satisfied and productive with Canopus machines and after-sales support,” says Deborshi Paul Choudhary (Debu), Director, Canopus Imaging Systems LLP.

Debu continues, “So far, we have done landmark installations of our machines all over western India, covering all major cities, such as Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad, Satara, Karad, Beed, Dhule, Osmanabad in Maharashtra as well as many in Goa. Similarly, in south also, we have installed our popular machines to a great extent at some of the leading print service providers in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mangalore, Chennai and Trichy.”

In the first quarter of the FY 2023-2024, Canopus Imaging Systems supplied and installed a total of 25 printers, whereas in the last FY the company had a total installation base of 50 printers. “It means it’s almost 100 percent growth for us when we compared our installation base in the first quarter of FY 2023-2024 to the last FY,” mentions Debu.

Debu continues, “Following our success in the first quarter of the FY 2023-2024 in both western and southern Indian markets, we eventually chalked out a plan to expand ourcustomer base in the eastern Indian market with the opening of our Kolkata branch last month (April).” He adds that they have recently started installation of Canopus machines in West Bengal too, particularly in some cities like Kolkata, Jhargram, Medinipore, Bagnan, and Murshidabad.

During the recent Eastern Signage 2023 expo at Kolkata, Canopus displayed its popular industrial high-speed Cygnus solvent printer with automatic negative pressure ink system. Debu mentions that Cygnus is designed to run at the maximum speed up to 5000 sqft/hr and which was one of the star attractions for trade visitors swarming at the stand of Canopus Imaging Systems during the expo. In addition, demonstration of Vega pulled crowd and a total of eight orders of the machine had been booked during the expo.

Debu says ‘Canopus’ is here to deliver the best experience in providing digital large-format printing machines to the best satisfaction of their customers based in any part of the country, which is indeed an outcome they achieve though the qualities of their products and dedicated after-sales support.
