A couple of flagship printers with the RICOH Gen5 & Gen6 printheads from CDI are currently witnessing high demand. Both the printers have their own unique features and capabilities which other conventional systems in their classes don’t have at all. First, the recently launched Heavy Body TM-Gen5 is a 10-ft grand-format UV printer which redefines print size and speed. It is equipped with RICOH Gen-5 grayscale piezoelectric printhead with 1280 nozzles and capable to produce variable ink droplets with a minimum ink droplet of 7pL(pico litre) at the printing speed of 900sqft/hr.
Heavy Body TM-Gen5 is also known as ‘all-in-one’ printer for its ability to operate on two different technological platforms. It was earlier designed for UV printing only. However, for the convenience of users, enabling them to go for wider media options to produce graphic applications of varied looks and textures, Heavy Body TM-Gen5 is reconfigured and converted into a platform to run either in solvent or eco-solvent mode now. Such varied is the freedom of choice which clients enjoy with robust CDI printers.

Equipped with RICOH Gen5 printhead, CDI UV Roll-to-Roll is a ‘game-changing’ system for six-colour printing. It is designed to operate at the speed of 150sqft/hr for printing compatibly on a broad array of unconventional media such as self adhesive vinyl (SAV), fabric, backlit flex, transparent film, translite, etc. Capable to handle 10-ft roll media, this is one of the latest roll-to-roll marvels from CDI which has become a cornerstone of UV printing to produce mammoth-size graphics in vivid colours. Under the ‘Make in India’ initiative, CDI manufactures all its machines at the company’s state-of-the-art plant at Kasna Industrial Area in Greater Noida, Delhi-NCR. Some of the trending models will be demonstrated at the upcoming Media Expo 2025 New Delhi, which is scheduled to take place from October 3 – 5 at Bharat Mandapam (Pragati Maidan).
