The history of Satyam Plastics, a unit of Satyam Acrylic Plastics Pvt Ltd, dates back to1987, when Shri Madan Lal Kalra founded the business to supply acrylic sheets. Joined the business later were Rajiv Kalra and Tarun Dhingra. Meeting the increasing demands for new and innovative materials in the market, Satyam Plastics expanded its product line in 1994 with the addition of Mactac colour vinyl media.
In 1998, Satyam Plastics opened a new office with upgraded infrastructure and an expanded product line. A big update in the company’s product line took place in 2001 with the inclusion of flex banner media. Expanding further, in 2008, Satyam Plastics introduced Satyam Techno, a new vertical led by Abhijeet Bose, offering a range of LED-based signage solutions and more.
Supporting ‘Make in India’ initiative
Satyam Plastics actively and dedicatedly supports the ‘Make in India’ initiative, with the company keen on expanding its product line by adding the media manufactured by Indian companies. In 2012, the company added media from Pioneer Flex and other brands like Ultra Sign Flex during 2015 to 2018. Constant expansion at Satyam Plastics is not only taking place in the product line but also in the league of company leaders. New generation as new energy in business has joined the company. Dixit Kalra, son of Rajiv Kalra, joined the business in 2021. Yet another member of the new generation at Satyam Plastics is Purva Dhingra, daughter of Tarun Dhingra, who joined the business in 2024.

In 2023, several more updates took place in the product portfolio of Satyam Plastics. In the year, the company joined hands with ORAFOL for authorised dealership of the German printing media expert’s flagship products comprising cast vinyl for vehicle wraps, window and fleet graphic solutions which include ORACAL-70 translucent films, ORAJET EDPM (economy digital print media), and ORAGUARD fleet graphic solutions which have been launched for the Indian market.
Aeorlam materials in the current product line of Satyam Plastics consist of a premium range of bubble guard sheets which are ideally crafted for POS (point of sale), POSM (point of sales marketing) and FSU (floor standing unit) solutions. Aerolam materials are versatile, weather resistant, lightweight, heavy duty, non-abrasive, dust-repellent, chemical and impact resistant.
Nevertheless, among all is MLK, Satyam Plastics’ own brand under which masses of premium materials are procured to offer all choices of PVC-free printable fabrics comprising frontlit, backlit, greyback, canvas, and NSBO (both side printable). Other flagship products available under the brand MLK are Inkjet Specialty Media, Wallpapers, Window Films, Vinyl, and Lamination Films.
