What do you say about the new SIGN STUDIO by Cosign India

Beautiful, stylish, comfortable, stimulating, provocative, hands-on!

How would Cosign India’s new space and new capability be benefited globally?

By further expanding its machinery and production capabilities, Cosign India now has the opportunity to take on larger and more complex projects and become the most important production hub for Cosign in the rest of the world. The new site opens up opportunities to expand beyond India, reaching into the Middle East, East Africa, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam.

Compared to Mexico and Brazil, what’s your impression of the Indian market?

India offers several key advantages over Brazil and Mexico. With its massive and youthful population, India provides a large consumer market and a vast, low-cost talent pool. The country is a global leader in IT and business services, and its economy is growing rapidly. Labor costs are lower than in both Brazil and Mexico, particularly in tech and engineering roles. Government initiatives like ‘Make in India’ are attracting foreign investment and improving infrastructure. While challenges remain, India’s political stability, scale, and focus on innovation make it a highly attractive emerging market.

What new prospects do you see in the Indian modular signage market?

The rapid development of airports, hospitals, schools, offices, railways, and metro stations is driving growing demand for flexible, adaptable wayfinding solutions. Modular systems play a key role here:

  • Quick to adjust & expand: As buildings are often delivered in phases or frequently modified, modular wayfinding allows for easy expansion, relocation, or changes without major renovations.
  • Cost- and time-efficient: Modular systems are faster to install and cheaper to maintain than fixed, custom-made signs, ideal for fast-growing infrastructure projects where budget and timelines matter.
  • Consistent appearance: Modular wayfinding ensures a uniform visual identity while offering flexibility to highlight specific areas or functions.
  • Technology integration: Modular frames make it easier to add digital displays or LED lighting, supporting trends toward smart and interactive signage.
  • Sustainability and reuse: The reusable nature of modular systems allows them to adapt to changing needs, reducing waste and costs.

How does Cosign maintain quality and sustainability, even in Indian factory?

Since the launch of Cosign India in 2010, we have placed a strong emphasis on quality. To achieve this, we worked with European specialists in extrusion and anodizing, who were eager to share their expertise with local Indian manufacturers. We believed then – and still firmly believe today- that quality always rises to the top. Fortunately, our partners in India share that same mindset.

But quality isn’t only reflected in the products we offer. It’s also in the machines we work with. Cosign India exclusively works with top-tier machinery, Italian and German brands. Or in the people we choose to work with – whether in production, administration, or sales, we have always sought out the right individuals to carry our values forward.

As base material, Cosign primarily works with aluminium, which is a highly sustainable material. It is 100 percent recyclable without losing its properties and requires only a fraction of the energy to recycle compared to primary production. Its durability, light weight, and corrosion resistance make it ideal for long-lasting applications, helping reduce environmental impact over time. Choosing aluminium means choosing a future-oriented circular material. As mentioned above, the reusable nature of modular signs also contributes to sustainability.

What’s the volume of Cosign India’s contribution to Cosign’s global business?

Today, Cosign generates approximately 10 percent of its revenue in India. However, we are convinced that this share can easily grow to 30 to 40 percent over the next 5 to 10 years, especially if we can expand from India into the rest of Southeast Asia.

Why and how Cosign products stand out amid the crowds?

Apart from our high-quality and innovative products, I believe we distinguish ourselves from our competitors by offering complete solutions to our clients – from helping them to define the right signage strategy, to creating sign plans and designing and producing the signs. All of this, of course, in close collaboration with our sign partners pan-India.

What would we expect as a new innovation from Cosign soon?

Cosign will soon introduce several innovations in the field of digital and sustainable signage. For more details, keep a eye on our website or follow us on social media, where we will announce the launch of these products.

Is there plan for new regional office(s) in addition to Mexico, Brazil & India?

We have not yet mentioned that we already have a regional office in Sweden to serve the Scandinavian market. At this time we have no further expansion plans. We believe that India has such an incredible growth potential, and therefore we prefer to focus on the further development of Cosign India in the coming years.
