Media Expo 2024 New Delhi edition receives record footfalls

Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India’s New Delhi edition of Media Expo 2024, held from September 12–14 at Pragati Maidan, was concluded on a high note with record footfalls. The three days of the expo welcomed 15,971 visitors from 13 countries and 438 Indian cities. Around 125 exhibitors showing latest machines, materials, and solutions for diverse signage and display applications for indoor & outdoor advertising, branding and signage buzzed across the show floor.

Among the key exhibitors showing flagship products and solutions, MIMAKI India segmented its booth into UV Printing Technology Zone, Print & Cut Solutions Zone, and Industrial & Specialty Printing Zone. Mr Kenichiro (Ken) pointed at the UCJV330 Series and UJV100-160Plus models on display to signify high image quality, high productivity, and versatility in UV printing. NEGI Sign Systems & Supplies Co. made an announcement of offering Japanese products in Chinese price. “What we see is people go for Chinese printers because of the price tags. In this, we offer Japanese MUTOH Xpertjet printer of 10-15 years lifespan bundled with heavily discounted inks. It means these Japanese printers are now available at Chinese prices,” stated Saurya G Negi of NEGI Sign Systems & Supplies Co.

JX Enterprise demonstrated new Gonzheng C3204 PLUS, AQ1602S eco-solvent, and AC1802 UV printer. Varun S, Manager, JX Enterprise, said the three key machines they presented at the show cover the vital needs for any application. JN Arora Group, yet another big exhibitor, showcased entire gamut of machines & equipment form CG cutting plotter to MIMAKI UJV 100 Series systems. “Our aim is to provide PSPs complete printing solutions,” said Aashish Arora, Director Marketing, JN Arora Group.

New from Cosign India was LED Light Acrylic Sheet (s). Tejasa Purande, Director, Cosign India Pvt Ltd said the expo pulled the right and very focused crowds. Other key products on showcase at the company’s stand were smaller 3mm art frames. Key products that Monotech Systems displayed pulling crowds were Pixeljet mini RTR (8×4), Pixeljet® Ultron+, etc. Manoj Garg, Business Head – WFG (Wide Format Graphics), Monotech Systems Limited, stated that the products are perfect for UV flatbed rigid material printing.

WYTE rolled out latest media designed as floor and table mats, unconventional materials ever introduced. “We introduced all these latest innovations alongside a handful of WYTE outdoor backlit media,” mentioned Manish Taneja, Director of WYTE Print India Pvt Ltd.

Daksh Enterprises showcased its latest DM 1325 model of CNC router. Tajuddin Siddiqui of Daksh Enterprises said the selected model is among the high-speed routing machine the company has ever introduced. Manish Agrawal, Director, Mono Signs Systems, appreciated the show’s footfalls and the company showcased the prowess of MonoJet hybrid models and fluorescent inks.

Among the big launches took place during the expo, LISCO Systems unpacked the latest Gongzheng ThunderJet DC1800UV. Yatinsinh Vaghela – LISCO Systems Private Limited said the company’s presentations included the criteria of choosing authentic Gongzheng inks. Color Digital India (CDI) was also among those big launchers at the show. Tejinder Singh, Director of CDI said the new CDI UV printer with dual EPSON i3200 printheads is the latest to add to the company’s UV range.

Yet another big launch took place at the show was from Kheizer Sign. Riyaz Siddiqui, Director, Kheizer Sign, said they have introduced a new and upgraded K-Bend channel bending machine. Like other key exhibitors, Sun Sign & Technologies sported its stand with innovative range of Sunstar and Staeflex materials. Deepak Gupta, Director, Sun Sign & Technologies said the range included the Sunstar 360 Gloss Canvas & 230 BB Translite, Starflex ESBL 230 Translite & SD-60 Backlit, etc.

Taneja Digital presented a colossal stand filled with innovative range of LX Hausys signage and graphic materials alongside Sunflex and others. Rohit Taneja, Founder, Taneja Digital Solutions, said the line signified for those looking for premium media for standout applications. Mehta Hitech Industries demonstrated how their printers have triggered competency with the EPSON T3200 printhead the company recently embraced. Shalesh Mehta, Director, Mehta Hitech Industries Pvt Ltd, stated jetting performance of the printhead breaks the conventional norm.

Kongsberg demonstrated Kongsberg X24 cutting table. Mohammed Rafiq Shaikh, Sales & Service Leader, South Asia, Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems India Pvt Ltd mentioned that flagship cutting table of 1KW routing evolves with the contemporary, offering versatility for wide cutting applications

Among the exhibitors unpacking innovations, City Advertising introduced programmable LEDs. Nitin Srivastava, Director of City Advertising stated that the new LED innovation available in 10-12 colours is applicable in both indoor and outdoor display solutions. Umpire introduced two new entry-level products—4×3 ft laser engraving system and a CNC router. Sumit Gupta of Umpire said they are ready to help people grow with the affordable entry-level systems.

Orneila Trabucchi, Exports Sales Manager, Gildo Profilati, said the show pulled good crowds, as always in every edition. Akshay Jairath, Founding Director, Lotus, said they are now escalating to another level with newer products like ES UV RTR flatbed printer they showcased at the show. Adam Brater, Senior Vice President, Arlon Graphics, said, “We are based in California and spreading across the world with our entry into the Indian market.

On the sidelines of the show, a series of discussions, workshops, and press meets were held sharing various insights on topics such as sustainability, printing ecosystem, growth, etc. ColorJet India in collaboration with Roland conducted a press meet revealing Roland technology’s progression across all domains. Present at meet were Kohei Tanabe, President, Representative Director, Roland DG Corp; Takafumi Kevin Shigenoya, Executive Officer, Division Vice President, DP Business Division; Tony Miller, Executive Officer, Roland DG Corp, and Madhu Sudan Dadu, Managing Director, ColorJet India.

Other shows-stoppers at the show were Sign Animator, BrandLit, bnz, EPSON, ITMS, Amazing Infotech, Atul Papers, Sign Matrix, Eurobond, Arihant Uniglobe, Excel Media, among others. Media Expo will have debut Chennai edition in 2025 which is scheduled from July 10–12 at Chennai Trade Centre, Tamil Nadu.
