Kromodyne Digital Solutions (KDS) revolutionises print embellishments & green media
Kromodyne Digital Solutions (KDS) in collaboration with Indiacot has unveiled ‘Kaleido’ brand of post-printing machines for value-addition or print enhancement and a broad range of ‘green’ media. This range of KDS media are highly eco-friendly, PVC-free, PET-free, lightweight, and so on.
Revolutionising the printing enhancements in the digital large-format printing market and allied segments, Kaleido post-printing machines for adding embellishments to graphic prints of all types have been gaining grounds in different segments. Since its launch abound a year’s time, nearly 100 of the machines have been installed across the country.
Santosh Nair, Director, Kromodyne Digital Solutions (KDS), explains that there are certain limitations and challenges when it comes to adding values or enhancement to prints, even if print service providers invest in highly advanced post-press graphic enhancement. He adds that it’s where Kaleido carries the job forward. Kaleido machines are available either in analogue or digital versions.
Working with some manufacturers of varnish and foils to make the print-embellished products more sustainable, KDS is quite imperative to offer best products and solutions on this front. The company has collaborated with ColorJet to introduce Polyethylene substrate, a sustainable media solution. This innovative initiative marks a significant stride towards revolutionising printing practices with a strong emphasis on sustainability.
This newest offering from KDS through Colorjet is designed to lead the shift towards sustainable large-format printing using POLO Earth high-speed industrial grade eco-solvent printer. Aditya Dadu, Associate Vice President at ColorJet, says the industry is in need of such collective action to ensure a sustainable future for generations to come. By advocating for the adoption of eco-friendly practices and the development of sustainable products he demonstrates ColorJet’s firm commitment to environmental stewardship and innovation.
Santosh emphasises the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing sustainable challenges. He comments, “Sustainable solutions will only be successful if we all work together towards the common cause of addressing sustainable challenges. Our initiative with ColorJet is a first step towards providing a right framework and a standard eco-friendly network to every single signage player and brands alike.”
He adds, “In future, we would be providing many other eco-friendly media and solutions that would be easily available across all geographies of India and we would constantly drive our joint efforts towards the adaptation of sustainable solutions in India.” KDS has an R&D Centre and an Experience Centre in Rajkot, Gujarat. A plan has been chalked out for opening a demo centre too, soon.
