Good footfalls confirm success of Eastern Signage 2023

Queuing to get in as soon as doors of the exhibition hall opened, scores of trade visitors at Eastern Signage 2023 were from all over West Bengal and other eastern Indian states like Odisha, Seven Sisters of North-East as well as Bihar, Jharkhand and neighbouring countries like Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan. More than 12,000 focused visitors attended the expo held from April 28–30, 2023 at Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan (Milan Mela), Kolkata.

Organised by DBS International and Q3Q Exhibition Pvt. Ltd, Eastern Signage 2023 witnessed a host of 150 exhibitors which consist of reputed signage companies and brands from the lengths and breaths of the country. The exhibitors presented arrays of new and trending machines, consumables, software, LED technologies and many other signage and display solutions.

As a debutant, Cosign introduced its new marvel, Sign Agent, a highly-advanced signage management software that enthralled the crowd of trade visitors. Tejasa Purandare, Director, Cosign India Pvt Ltd, remarked that the expo pulled the right crowd of business visitors for the key product they showcased for the first time for the eastern Indian market. Colorjet India/Apsom Infotex showcased some key products at the expo, aiming at expanding customer base in east India. Paramjeet Gill, Product Manager, Apsom Infotex, informed, “ColorJet SonicQi and Roland VersaEXPRESS RF-640 are two key products we showcase here for eco-solvent and inkjet applications.”

Mehta Cad Cam Systems in collaboration with its eastern India partner Jayita Cad Cam Systems presented the whole gamut of printing, routing, and laser engraving solutions with live demonstrations of Rasterjet 2513, Bruno 1602, Gloria EX, EVA-II and other machines at its colossal stand during the expo. Shailesh Mehta, MD, Mehta Cad Cam Systems Pvt Ltd said the entire products on showcase represent a complete solution for signage printing and production from entry to high levels.

Canopus Imaging Systems demonstrated two of its demanded machines—Cyganus and Vega— along with some CDI (Colors Digital India) machines. Deborshi Paul Choudhury (Debu), Partner, Canopus Imaging Systems LLP, said they are thrilled to find the crowds on all three days and they sealed some deals of their machines during the expo. NEGI Sign Systems & Supplies Cospotlighted MUTOH XpertJet 1641SR Pro as key product at its stand. “This eco-solvent printer is the one of the most demanded and versatile printers. That’s why we shed our lights on this product at the expo,” mentioned Sanjay Srivastava from NEGI Sign Systems & Supplies Co.

Monotech Systems presented a line of digital large-format printers along with some commercial digital production presses. Of them, PixelJet UV Mini RTR (6 ft) was the key product at the company’s stand. “We present this 6-ft UV Mini RTR to offer the ‘taste of UV’ to the eastern Indian signage market,” said Manoj Garg, General Manager – Sales (Signage), Monotech Systems Limited.

Sun Sign & Technologies presented a range of Starflex and SENFA wall media with special highlight of thee-power LED power supply which is a Korean premium class product. Deepak Gupta, Director, Sun Sign & Technologies, said they are using the expo as a platform to popularise their innovative e-power products and others. Lisco Systems demonstrated its crowd-pulling Gongzheng GZH 3206SG high-end eco-solvent printer. Yatinsinh Vaghela, Director, Lisco Systems Private Limited, said this expo is an ideal networking platform for partners and customers in east India.

Satyam Techno showcased a gamut of media and LED products from a host of leading brands such as OSRAM, Union, ADS and others. Abhijit Bose of Satyam Techno said the key highlight at the company’s stand were the ADS LED modules and strips. Maruti Flex Traders in partnership with Metamark had shown an array of media including textile material. Rohit Bansal, Partner, Maruti Flex Traders LLP, said, “Our partnership with Metamark is the key message we delivered during this expo.”

EPSON demonstrated the flexibility of SureColor SC-T3130N, especially highlighting its capability in CAD and other applications. Somnath Chandra from EPSON India Pvt Ltd said they are overwhelmed with the response of visitors to the versatile printer. Graphic Enterprises, EPSON partner in East India, demonstrated SureColorTM SC-S40670 eco-solvent signage printer at its stand. Ace Infotex in collaboration with ORAFOL pulled crowd during the expo.

Wyte launched a new shelf-adhesive film for application on glass. “Our new economical film defies the direct printing on glass,” mentioned Puneet Taneja from Wyte Print India Pvt Ltd. CMT showcased its versatility with versatile range of technologies including 3D printing. Tsering, Sales Manager, CMT (Changlong Manufacturing & Trading) said the footfalls on all three days of the expo were quite impressive.

Other key exhibitors that pulled crowds to their exhibits of innovative machines, materials and sign-making technologies and solutions were Nilkamal, Shifa Technology (eastern India partner of Unique Sign Innovations), Tanya Enterprises, mapl, CSV,Sibco, Bajrang Screen-O-Graphics (AT Inks partner in east India), P Kumar Publicity, Das CNC Technology, among others. Good footfalls and overwhelming response from trade visitors signify the fact that Eastern Signage 2023 has been successfully organised and concluded on a successful note.
