North-East Signage (NES) 2023 debuted in Guwahati

Organised by DBS International, North-East Signage 2023 marked its debut edition in Guwahati, Assam. The expo was held at Maniram Dewan Trade Centre in the city on January 20-22, 2023 in concurrent with North-East Print Pro Pack and North-East Photo Video Fair. The three verticals of the show brought a mosaic of signage, packaging and photo-video solutions under one roof.

More than 90 exhibitors from different parts of India showcased latest machines, materials, software and many other solutions redefining innovations in printing, packaging and video-photography to new heights at North-East Signage 2023. Key exhibitors at the show included some of the leading large-format machine manufacturers and suppliers viz. Mehta Cad Cam Systems, Colors Digital India (CDI), Monotech Systems, EPSON, SAI International (channel partner of Apsom Infotex and Colorjet in North-East India), and many others.

Showcasing strings of upgraded machines and technologies, the exhibitors are thrilled to explore the North-East Indian market. Pixeljet UVmini (24×38”) flatbed among the key products on showcase, Monotech Systems pulled crowd during the expo. Manoj Garg, Business Head, Monotech Systems Limited, said, “This Pixeljet UVmini flatbed is an entry-level model suitable for the North-East India’s market.” He added that the printer with the RICOH Gen-5i printhead is ideal for photo labs and signage companies engaging in special POP/POS applications. On other side Colors Digital India (CDI) demonstrated its FutureJet technologies for sustainable applications. “At the expo we present cost-effective and future-proof technologies for the North-East India’s market. This market is quite vibrant and we are fully prepared to explore the region’s untapped business opportunities,” informed Tejinder Singh, Director, CEO, Colors Digital India.

Mehta Cad Cam Systems demonstrated a complete combo of its popular printers and routing machines such as EX-II 1325, UNO 1820, Sino 3202, EVA-II, etc. Diwakar Mishra, National Sales Manager, Mehta Cad Cam Systems Pvt Ltd, said EMICO RJ 9060 UV flatbed is the key highlight at the expo. He added that the machine is a suitably engineered economical UV printer for the North-East Indian market.

Guwahati-based SAI International demonstrated Colorjet IRIS and Roland VersaEXPRESS RF-640 large-format inkjet printers. “We represent Apsom Infotex and Colorjet India in North-East India. This expo is the right platform to boost our network and client base to another level,” commented Sandeep Chhabra of SAI International. JK Services, a Canon dealer for North-East India, presented a line of Canon production and MFPs, which also included Canon imagePROGRAF TA-5300 and Canon imagePROGRAF TA-5200. “We impress visitors from the photo segment with a couple of Canon imagePROGRAF TA 5000 Series printers at the expo,” said Brijesh Kumar, Manager ME, JK Services.

Galaxy Technologies, a channel partner of many leading brands, showcased EPSON systems like SureColor SC-S40670 eco-solvent signage printer, SureColor SC-T5430 technical printer and SureColor P900 photo printer. “This expo is designed as a perfect networking point for us,” said Vikas Sharma, Marketing Head (NE), Galaxy Technologies. Lotus presented its range of versatile and economical printers. “We use this expo as a rampart where we would like to meet our customers in this region directly to sustain relationship to another level,” said Bhavendra Jha of Lotus.

A key exhibitor at the expo, A-1 Sublimation presented a complete combo comprising sublimation machines, raw materials, PU vinyl, laser engraving machines, plotting systems, etc. “We offer complete solutions for T-shirt printing, personalised gifts, mementoes, etc,” mentioned Abhijit Mukherjee of A-1 Sublimation. Shristi Digital Signage, a division of Sufalam Street and authorised dealer of SuperUs, displayed a line of SuperUs wall-mounted digital display systems. “We would like to present complete signage solutions which our customers are served to the fullest,” said Mukta Bagchi, Manager, Shristi Digital Signage.

Benson Polymers, showing its range of instant adhesives for all kinds of signage and display arts, pulled crowd during the expo. Kavita, Sr. Customer Relationship Marketing, Benson Polymers, said the expo gathers focused crowds from all over North-East India. Among the exhibitors showcasing innovative solutions were BenQ India, which presented high-definition monitors and LCDs with best viewing quality. Ratnadip Das, Assistant Manager–Sales, Assam & North East, said visitors to the expo showed keen interest in the existing BenQ India range they presented.

Jona & Nova Star demonstrated its customised LED video walls. Dheerendra Kumar, Sales & Technical Head, Jona & Nova Star, mentioned that the company’s range of LED display systems is customisable with content management software. JB Communications, a division of Umang Communication, displayed a range of corporate gifts, printed T-shirts, trophies, mugs. In this, Shubhajeet Guha Roy, Sales Manager, JB Communications, said that they aimed at creating personalised items in a unique way.

Kolkata-based Maruti Flex Traders pulled crowd to its stall where a collection of media comprising foam boards, textile materials and others including LED modules and self-adhesive tapes was demonstrated. Ashish Rustagi, Sales Manager, Maruti Flex Traders LLP, informed that they took part in the expo for expanding footprint in North-East India.

Aspiration Machineries (AM), a dealer of Lisco in North-East India and manufacturer of CNC routers, presented some of the popular Gongzheng printers and AM CNC routers. Kangkan Jyoti Barman of Aspiration Machineries said their machines are cost-effective, economical and ideally suitable for PSPs in North-East India.

Risingsun Enterprises from New Delhi demonstrated its popular Perfect Bend acrylic bending machines at the expo. Sanjiv Sharma from Risingsun Enterprises Co said that they come down to the far flung North-East to mark their strong presence in the region.

North-East Signage 2023 provides an opportunity to be a part of the region’s growing signage and graphic arts market. North-East India comprises seven states—Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura —plus Sikkim.
