Glass printing redefined at Doors & Windows Expo 2019 at New Delhi

Zak Doors & Windows Expo 2019, which was held from December 12-15 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, showcased solutions for innovative glass printing for façades, fenestrations and others. Some of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of digital large-format machines and printing materials at the expo demonstrated cutting-edge products and solutions for the niche segment.

Zak Doors & Windows Expo has been a premier international expo on doors, windows, façades, technologies, components and finished products. Recently, the 16th edition of the expo at New Delhi had a host of manufacturers of digital large-format machines, materials and other solutions, showcasing their latest products and innovations. Visitors at the expo are predominantly from real estate companies, architectures, design firms, etc.

Colorjet India was among the key exhibitors showcasing how innovation could be taken to another in glass and other rigid material printing. Presented at the company’s booth were print samples of different substrates churned on Verve UV LED curing true flatbed printer, which is designed for high-quality direct printing on glass and all sorts of materials including wood, leather, ceramic tile and more. “This expo is a perfect meeting point where we can interact with quite a few new trade visitors comprising architectures, decorators and others,” mentioned Paramjeet Singh Gill, Product Manager, Apsom Infotex Ltd.

The booth of Caldron Graphics was filled with new solutions and technologies that could take glass printing to another level. Among the key highlights was about King Lali MGL3700C/R digital printer for decorative glass. Equipped with Seiko RC1536/XAAR 2001 printhead, the printer features automatic ink circulation and anti-sedimentation technologies, capable to churn graphics in resolution of 508×1440 dpi. Main applications include decor glass, furniture glass and appliance glass.

 

True Colors, another crowd puller at the expo, showcased its ever popular Platinum KC Plus UV flatbed printer, which is perfectly designed to print on glass and other rigid materials such as marble, MDF, wood, metal, WPC, ceramic, leather and many more. “The design, features and specification of this machine is matched with international standards,” mentioned Charanjeet Shah, Head – Sales & Operations, True Colors Solutions & Technologies India Pvt Ltd.

A complete range of glass printing solutions was shown at the booth of Infinity Digital Solutions (IDS). The range consisted of IDS 1513 UV flatbed printer, IDS 1523 small format UV printer, Docan S3200 high resolution RTR and hybrid UV printer with Kyocera printhead, IDS 1390 engraving and cutting system and others. New in the portfolio was IDS 6040 UV flatbed printer, which is equipped with EPSON and RICOH Gen-5 printheads. The printers are designed for a gamut of applications such as window glass, door sheet, wood board, metal panel, aluminium panel, etc.

Ajit Industries Pvt Ltd (AIPL) presented a gallery full of complete solutions for surface protection tapes and guard films. The films are designed as one solution for all, covering various industries such as automotive, lamination, steel and ACP, signage, construction and consumer durable. The tape items in the portfolio comprise BOPP, Holding, Masking and Cosnpiquity. Also on display at the company’s booth were ABRO products for hardware.

Running live demo of Pixeljet 2132, a high-volume UV flatbed printer, Monotech Systems redefined the versatility and possibilities of printing on diverse rigid media such as glass, wood, ceramic, metal, PS material and a range of flexible materials. “As this expo focuses more on glass printing, we prove the flexibility of Pixeljet 2132 (8×4 ft) that can take up whole varieties of glasses, whether plain or toughened,” informed Manoj Garg, General Manager–Sales (Signage), Monotech Systems. He added that more than 50 of this model have been installed across India so far.

LG Hausys India demonstrated some premium media for home and corporate office decors.

The range consisted of the company’s ever poplar Hymex and vinyl flooring materials.

“This expo gives us the right visitors we have been looking for,” said Rahul Aggarwal, Manager, Business Development & Marketing Team, LG Hausys India Pvt Ltd.

Key product at the booth of Viva Composite Panel was Metal Abstract, a versatile material for diverse innovative applications and A2+ fire retardant material. “At this expo, we announce the introduction of this special material (Metal Abstract), suitably made for all kinds of display applications at malls, buildings, facades and so on,” mentioned Nitin Jain, Director, Viva Composite Panel Pvt Ltd.

Likewise, Alutech was another exhibitor in the block which showcased a premium range of materials. “We are presenting our existing range of materials among which our key highlights, relevant to this expo, include Natural Wood ACP, HPL, among others,” mentioned Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Manager–Marketing & Sales, Alutech Industries.
