Negi unveils Mutoh ValueJet in India
Negi Sign Systems and Supplies Co successfully launched the Mutoh
ValueJet, high-resolution eco-solvent printers at the recently concluded
PAMEX exhibition (December 10-14, 2006).
Available in 3 models, namely VJ 1204 (48"), VJ 1604 (64") and VJ 2606
(100"), Mutoh’s ValueJet printer, suited for indoor and outdoor
applications, has been specifically developed for signmakers who want
to invest in their own eco-solvent printers, as well as pay for print
businesses looking to replace their existing water-based ink printers.
The new ValueJet printers bring high resolution and productivity
combined with speed and first-rate image quality to deliver a topnotch,
mid-range printers for the most demanding production jobs.
The new generation piezo drop-on-demand variable drop ‘Wide
model’ printhead offers the industry’s smallest available drop size
(3.5pl). The 1440 nozzle Epson head incorporates four colour
sections (two nozzle rows of 180 nozzles/colour). Ten different
print modes have been pre-defined, especially in view of the target
public of starting “full colour” signmakers and print houses. Print
resolutions offered are 540 x 720 dpi, 720 x 720 dpi, 1440 x 720
dpi and 1440 x 1440 dpi.
It also has Mutoh’s patented Intelligent Interweaving (i2) printing
technique, which is known as “wave printing” and allows increased
print speed that virtually eliminates banding with exceptional image
quality. Utilising Mutoh’s third-generation eco-solvent ultra inks, it can
print on a wide range of uncoated as well as coated materials.
In production mode it is capable of printing up to 13 sqm/hr with low
ink cost compared to other printers of the same segment. The prints
don’t require lamination and can be guaranteed for one-year outdoors.
Depending on the application or media used, Mutoh’s new i2 printing
technique will vastly reduce or neutralize typical shortcomings
inherently linked to inkjet printing, such as horizontal or vertical banding,
missing or misfiring nozzles, step mismatch, ink mottle, etc.
i
2 offers an overall better printing quality and comes with many added
benefits. It provides better user-friendly operation and bi-directionally
printing of any image, thus saving time. Even the most critical sign
jobs, which would normally be tempted
to print uni-directionally to avoid any kind
of banding can be printed well. When
printing at 720 dpi 4-pass using i2’s SIGN
weave mode, one will benefit from an
improved ink density yield. Also, dedicated
i2 profiles for 720 dpi 4-pass in combination with i2’s SIGN weave mode
will allow boosting colour gamut versus traditional printing. In
combination with improved ink density yield, it reduces ink
consumption up to 10%. Mutoh’s i2 technology includes two “weaving
modes”, which include “Sign/Quality” and “Picture/Speed.”
ValueJet can be used for any application that requires high quality
printing like point-of purchase, banners, fleet graphics, displays, posters,
panel printing and any other applications replacing water-based prints.
