Digidelta, a specialist manufacturer of digital printing, decoration, visual communication, and textile materials, has announced that its BIOND range of bio-based printable films has secured independent ‘OK bio-based’ certification from TÜV Austria, with testing confirming top ratings for renewable carbon content. The ‘OK biobased’ certification is an independent label that verifies how much of a product is made from renewable and plant-based sources, instead of fossil resources that are traditionally used to create materials commonly used in print and industrial applications. Certification is based on a material’s bio-based carbon content, measured using laboratory testing such as radiocarbon analysis under EN 16640/ASTM D6866 methods.
