ColorJet hosts meet on synergising Roland printing technology

On the sidelines of the New Delhi edition of Media Expo 2024 held at Pragati Maidan (Bharat Mandapam), ColorJet India in collaboration with Roland DG hosted a meet on synergising the print possibilities using the next-gen Roland machines. Leaders from both sides narrated about the standout performance and cutting-edge innovations of Roland technology.

Present at the thought-provoking meet were Madhu Sudan Dadu, Managing Director, ColorJet India Pvt Ltd; Kohei Tanabe, President, Representative Director, Roland DG Corporation; Takafumi Kevin Shigenoya, Executive Officer, Division Vice President, DB Business Division, Roland DG Corporation; and Tony Miller, Executive Officer, Division President, Global Sales & Marketing Division, Roland DG Corporation.

Depicting the latest developments through global perspectives in the signage market, and roles of Roland machines in it, Kohei said the (Roland) systems are not merely just machines but solutions to cherish the power of prints. In the context, Madhu Sudan mentioned that brand ‘Roland’ is gaining momentum in the Indian signage printing market. He added, “Roland has a highly grown market in India with a bright future. We have taken initiatives like Print Innovation Summits and Prismo to forge our alliance to grow further.”

Takafumi stated that marketing and technology are two wheels working together to produce synergy. “We feel like working with Apsom Infotex would lead us to help our customers produce expanded graphic applications using Roland machines.” In the aspect, Tony mentioned that Roland machines open new possibilities in print innovations. “Though digital display systems have their own countenance, prints still have its own value to attract people. It’s unlikely that digital signage systems would replace prints,” he adds.

Tony further added, “There’s a synergy between printed display graphics and digital display solutions. Digital adds value to prints which have a great deal of versatility such as direct printing on objects.” Closing of the meet was followed by the introduction of Roland DGEXPRESS ER641 eco-solvent printer and Roland VersaOBJECT MO-240 flatbed UV printer.
