Brisbane has been chosen as the site for Avery Dennison’s Training & Innovation centre, servicing the whole APAC region for vehicle wrappers. Located inside its existing warehouse site at Berrimba on the city’s south-side, the centre boasts a fully-equipped print shop, ample 300 sq m space, bespoke lighting and a couple of prestige cars for practicing on. Andy McCourt was there as a guest of Avery Dennison. The vehicle wrapping industry is a USD$7 billion sector and it is booming but there is a shortage of fully-trained skilled wrappers. Avery Dennision has addressed this by investing in a superb Training & Innovation Centre that will serve not just Australia-New Zealand but the entire APAC region, including China. Certified installers will be tutored in class sizes no larger than 15 students at a time. There are three course categories available at the Avery Dennison’s Training & Innovation centre, i.e. Supreme Wrapping Film training; Paint Protection (PPF) Film training; and Automotive Window Tint training.
