Kyocera acquiring French inkjet engine manufacturer NIXKA

Kyocera Corporation has signed a deal, acquiring French inkjet print engine and system manufacturer NIXKA, which will be renamed as Kyocera Nixka Inkjet Systems. Kyocera’s 100 percent ownership of NIXKA will create new synergies in inkjet print technologies, says a release from the company. Established in 2020, NIXKA develops, manufactures and sells high-quality inkjet print engines and systems, with integrated services that target specific customer needs. Since 2007, Kyocera has been expanding its digital printing business to serve new applications in commercial and industrial printing. The company’s high-speed inkjet printheads have become key devices within industrial inkjet printers, gaining a strong market position by enabling digital printing at high speed and high resolution. In acquiring NIXKA, Kyocera will expand its business into new markets, including print engines, systems and integrated services.
