A house of T-Shirt printing
A young start-up in the graphic arts market of Kohima, NW (Naga Warriors) has been in the market for the past two years. P Domeh of NW says they kick-started with a bang, but their bold beginning hampered due to the subsequent pandemic lockdowns. The overall activities of NW revolve around customisation, clothing and garment printing. The company owns an EPSON printer which is customised for garment printing and special soft signage applications, and a line of screen printers.
Domeh mentions that they are now gearing up for taking the business of NW to another level. As of now, most of the customers of NW are from the general public who come down for personal wears printing. In this respect, Domeh further mentions that they closely tie-up with cultural and religious organisations in the state for bulk supplies of printed t-shirts and other printed textiles.
Imprint
Into godly printing service
Equipped with a PixelJet printer from Monotech Systems, Imprint boasts of a state-of-the-art production facility. The facility is also equipped with a string of finishing machines including a JWEI cutting machine. This PSP is not as ordinary as others in the town for the reason that they have specific commitment for the work and service for churches around Nagaland. “We are in service to god as our clientele consists of churches and religious orgnisations,” says Zapra Khutso of Imprint.
Zapra continues, “Right from leaflets to outdoor graphic applications, our works and service include everything we could offer for our clients.” He adds that they have a team of six well-trained signage and graphic arts professionals. Imprint is one of the PSPs in the town known for its expertise in digital large-format printing and dedicated service.
Multiplex
Everything under one roof
Multiplex is one of the PSPs in Kohima, which provides a complete printing service, whether large-format graphic or commercial print, all under one roof. “Our ultimate objective is to provide what our customers need at one place. We don’t want our customers run from one pillar to another for small thing. That’s why we have installed all kinds of machines and equipments that can provide complete print outputs for our customers from different walks of life,” says John Pradhan, Director, Multiplex.
The production facility of Multiplex is equipped with ColorJet Irisjet Pro with KM 512i printheads and other digital presses like Konica Minolta bizhub C750i, along with a string of finishing equipments. Most of the clients of Multiplex as on today are the walk-in people. However, John says they are planning to grab some of the corporate biggies in near futures.
Design Graphic
Provider of all kinds of prints
Design Graphic is more or less a complete print service provider in the town. Apart from the print service, the company is a corner where most of the PSPs come up to collect printing media and special materials as well as graphic designs for those who require it. Rivi Domeh, Proprietor, Design Graphic (DG), says they have their mother company M-Tech Printers where productions of all wide-format prints take place.
“Although M-Tech Printers is a 20 years old company, we introduced Design Graphic just a couple of years back and our aim is to entice the demands of new age graphic arts from different client bases, including the millennial population,” mentions Rivi. He conclusively mentions that demand for t-shirt printing and such custom prints are on the rise and they gear up to capture the trend.
Kera Printing Press
From one generation to another
Kera Printing Press is one of the oldest commercial printing corners in Kohima. Polto Kera with his younger brother Khotuzou Kera runs the company in the strategic main town area of Kohima. In this respect, Polto says the origin of Kera Printing Press is dating back to more than two decades of business when their parents started the company as a small printing shop engaging in printing flyers, brochures, wedding cards, etc.
Today, Kera Printing Press engages in other printing activities like flex, dye-sub printing, mug printing, etc. For these activities, the company in the last few months has expanded its production facility with a separate workshop equipped with a line of screen printers and large-format systems including an Allwin with KM 512i printheads and other finishing equipments. Polto mentions that they are planning to set up a new production facility where all the machines come under one roof.

In this respect, Pelevotuo Solo, Director, P2 Prints, recalls, “My father started the printing business more than two decades back and he passed it on to me and my brothers.” He adds that apart from normal printing job, P2 Prints exclusively offers design solution for graphic arts companies. When asked about the overall activities of P2 Prints, Pelevotuo mentions that the company has tied up with a number of digital large-format printers in the town for signage and such applications. But the company’s own production facility is equipped with a line of Konica Minolta bizhub PRESS models, including KM bizhub PRESS C1060, KM bizhub PRESS 226/206, etc. for commercial printing.
