Titanic sails across the sky of Hollywood again

Spectacular giant-sized billboard of 3D re-released Titanic recently filled the horizon of the Hollywood & Highland Center. The massive display brought in a fresh ecstasy of James Cameron’s 1997 chartbuster to a new avatar. Onlookers might have wondered whether the iceberg that sank the legendary passenger liner was as big as the billboard. As the 3D version of the movie does, the billboard certainly gave new life to Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet!




Watkins Valeur carries campaign through quantum taxi fleet

Promoters of Provantage distributed information leaflets as well as samples of men’s and women’s fragrances from Watkins Valeur range at taxi ranks in Johannesburg. Promoters encourage commuters to sign up as distributors of the product ranges. In their attempt to support the campaign, quantum taxis sported exterior branding in various eye-catching designs.

Latest street promotion of McDonald’s new Candy Twirl McFLurry appears in 3D on Ad Outpost’s Maxi Posters surfacing across the cities of Johannesburg and Gauteng. Ad Outpost through Media Reign sourced the 3D design from ADRAP Advertising Technologies (Pty) Ltd. And the creative was created and manufactured by ADRAP Advertising Technologies.

Massive outdoor display promotes ‘Fun Ship’ cruising from NY

Carnival Cruise Lines unveiled a massive billboard in Times Square that promotes the line’s new year-around departures from New York aboard the Carnival Miracle. Located at the corner of Broadway and 49th Street, the colourful billboard features a shot of a Carnival ‘Fun Ship’ with the New York skyline on one side and an image of a tropical destination on the other. Also another billboard showcased with the slogan reading, ‘The Caribbean is Closer Than You Think,’ reflective of the Carnival Miracle’s eight-day sailings from the Big Apple.




Volkswagen greets well wishes via interactive billboards

Promoting the launch of its new compact car, Volkswagen initiated a new outdoor campaign called ‘The Big Up The Up’ which carried out complements the company received through its Facebook page. The interactive digital sign boards of Volkswagen were created by DBB UK with Facebook development help from Box Light Media and support from Ocean Outdoor, flaunted in various strategic locations all across the UK.




FA Cup performance from Oasis Graphic

Oasis Graphic Co has delivered an ‘FA Cup performance’ by branding Cumberland Hotel in London for RPMC whose client Budweiser has been hosting a corporate hospitality event for the 2012 FA Cup Final. The graphic treatments comprised the production of 40 separate graphic items installed to create a fully branded environment for Budweiser throughout the hotel reception and suites used for the historic day.




Van Helen’s bold and arresting ad at LA’s Sunset Strip

American hard rock group Van Helen’s huge billboard along Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip publicised the band’s tour highlighting their new album A Different Kind of Truth. The art deco imagery of the billboard makes a real refreshing difference from other billboards around. The super-sized billboard for the band impressed every single commuter around.




Biggest ever building wrap in Africa

In the recent past, Africa has witnessed the continent’s biggest building wrap on the centenary celebrations of African National Congress (ANC). The 26,000 sq m of printed PVC mesh wrapped four huge cooling towers looming above the town of Bloemfontein, with the faces of all 12 past and present ANC presidents. The entire project was a collaborative effort of different signage companies taking vital roles in management, design, printing and installation.




World’s largest McDonald’s in London

McDonald’s is constructing its largest restaurant in London for the 2012 Summer Olympic. The outlet is being the world’s largest McDonald’s so far to accommodate 1,500 people. The exterior of the world’s largest McDonald’s sports majestic walls wrapped with giant graphics, cut-letter company logos and other attractions.
