Roland releases VersaArt RE-640 eco-solvent printer

Mimaki launches tabletop type LED-UV curing flatbed printer
More advanced than the conventional UJF-3042 series printers that support A3 size, Mimaki has introduced UJF-6042, which supports the wider A2 size with the advanced function such as 6-colour process colour + white and 150 mm height. Adding on top of the larger print size, UJF-6042 has actualised more precise and more vivid image quality by adopting unique functions. UJF-6042 supports A2 size and 150 mm height and enhances image quality with a high precision conveyance mechanism and a higher resolution print mode. Along with the enhancement of the printing resolution and the accuracy of the ink drop onto the substrate, a variable dot with the minimum size of 4 pico litre is incorporated, enabling near-photo image quality. The larger flatbed of UJF-6042 enables printing on two facing pages of the A2 size graphics.
EFI launches UV-curing printer with ‘cool cure’ technology
A new addition to its growing GS Series family of printers, EFI introduces VUTEk GS3250LX UV-curing digital inkjet printer, which incorporates ‘cool cure’ LED technology and increased productivity to facilitate faster and more efficient job production. Inca Digital and FUJIFILM launch Inca Onset S20i
Inca Digital Printers and FUJIFILM announce the launch of Inca Onset S20i wide-format UV flatbed inkjet printer featured with a range of new productivity and convenience features. Launch of this new printer is followed after recent introduction of Onset S40i in May this year. Inca Onset line of printers address the needs of PSPs looking for high-quality, high-speed throughputs on a variety of both flexible and rigid support materials up to 3.14x1.6 m and 50 mm thick.
Onset S20i retains the characteristic full-width printhead array with 26 individual FUJIFILM Dimatix printheads per colour, offering users production speeds up to 310 sq m/hr, equivalent to 62 full beds per hour.
Mimaki JFX500-2131 UV LED flatbed inkjet introduced
Achieving maximum speed of 60 sq m/h, which is more than two times faster than that of conventional JFX Plus series, Mimaki has introduced JFX500-2131 UV LED flatbed inkjet printer. This new Mimaki inkjet printer has set a milestone in design and performance, offering a newly developed printhead, UV ink and advanced UV LED curing features. The printer also offers a precise head movement control feature that produces exceptional high resolution image quality.
Equipped with white ink circulation and ink degassing module that enhance operation stability, JFX500-2131 also uses long lasting LEDs, resulting in less power consumption and reduces waste by offering a refillable two-liter ink system vs disposable cartridges. EFI forays into ceramic tile printing market
The world’s first digital front end for the growing ceramic imaging market, EFI has launched its Cretaprint C3 printer with FieryproServer for Cretaprint, which represents a new generation of inkjet printer for ceramic printing. The printer has been developed after five years of R&D work and combines knowledge and customers’ feedbacks of 15 years in the market.
Cretaprint C3 features a single chassis able to accommodate up to eight print bars, which are easy to access because of its new slide-bar design and can be independently configured for printing and special decoration effects. The company’s new 3M Envision Translucent Films and 3M Envision Diffuser Films are the first graphic films that optimised for use with LEDs, letting graphics manufacturers achieve maximum sign face brightness while requiring fewer light sources.
The new 3M films help graphics manufacturers create richly coloured backlit signs with even sign illumination and no hot spots. Roland launches SOLJET Pro 4 XR-640, one of the industry’s most advanced printers to combine integrated print/cut technology with an innovative new printhead design, accelerated print speeds and new, reformulated Eco-Sol MAX 2 inks in nine colours, including white, metallic silver and light black. This 64-inch Pro 4 is purposefully built for production printing with a dual inline and mirrored printhead configuration that yields outstanding image quality at a maximum print speed of 528 sq ft/hr.

Direct Color Systems’ new UV LED flatbed printer
Adding a new dimension to the crisp, full-colour images of its small-format UV LED inkjet printer line, US company Direct Color Systems introduces a high-speed model that utilises inline printing and produces breakthrough 3D textured prints. Direct Jet 1024UVHS with TEXTUR3D On Board boasts enhanced x-axis motion for up to a 50 percent increase in throughput over its predecessors.
When paired with DCS’s advanced Color Byte RIP 9 software, Direct Jet 1024UVHS becomes a complete economical printing solution. It has a printable area of 10x4 inch and prints on substrates up to 152 mm thick.
