Printing Palace: A place of complete signage solutions

Opening of Bareilly-based Printing Palace in the year 1988 was not happened in a big-bang affair as the company just incepted as a small setup under 16x12 sq ft shop where equipped a simple letter press and a cutting machine. After that it turned out to be a striking history to tell how the company has grown over a period of time, rising from the scratch to a palace of printing. RAJESH TANEJA and RAJEEV TANEJA of PRINTING PALACE share SIGN & GRAPHICS a complete story of the making of the company.

For more than a decade, Printing Palace had been known to many in Bareilly and surrounding regions only for its offset printing activities. But the stance of the company changed into a grand outlook after its entry into the realm of signage in the year 2005. Infiniti (with Spectra printheads) was the first printer equipped in the newly unveiled digital large-format printing facility of Printing Palace. Then the machine portfolio of the company got expanded in a rapid pace as two more Infiniti printers (with XAAR printheads) were added in two subsequent years.

A big turn

“The year 2010 was a big turning point for us in the infrastructure enhancement. We invested in Jet-I 3312 solvent printing machine and CNC router that year,” said Rajesh Taneja of Printing Palace adding that the versatility in the machine portfolio of the company helped them deliver a complete signage solution, which any other PSPs in the region could ever do in the same way. This is not the end of the gradual installations of machines at the company’s production facility. Latest addition of a Dilli UV flatbed printer in the portfolio further enhances the infrastructure to a new standard. Apart from UV and eco-solvent outputs, Printing Palace can deliver approximately 40,000 sq ft solvent prints per day.

Outdoor space

Adtek, another division of the group, is all about dealing over outdoor spaces in the parameters of Rooftop Billboards, Uni-poles, Gantries, Pole Kiosks on road dividers, Street Furniture and others covering entire Bareilly and neighbouring towns of Pilibhit, Budaun, Rampur, Shahjahanpur, Haldwani, Almora, Rudrapur, Kashipur, Nainital, Hapur, Moradabad… to mention some popular areas. “We have more than three lakhs sq ft of outdoor display space and the biggest single space we offer measures as 100x42 sq ft,” mentioned Rajeev Taneja of Adtek.

Corporate clients

Recalling the early days when Printing Palace started their association with corporate biggies, Rajesh said that Coca-Cola was the first company which encouraged them to enter into the signage business. “We received such an impressive project of Coca-Cola which actually moved us on to sustain further for more,” said Rajeev. Other major clients which Printing Palace has closely been associated over a period of time include Idea, Airtel, MTS, Uninor, Reliance, Indian Oil Corporation, Seagram, Samsung, among others. Printing Palace goes beyond Uttar Pradesh to execute pan-India campaigns of the telecom giants in the regions like Delhi, Rajasthan and Haryana.

In-shop domain

“Adoption of Dilli UV flatbed printer in our production facility had a specific reason to tap the in-shop segment where we have been working for some telecom, tiles and electronics companies,” said Rajesh. He added that Printing Palace provides complete in-shop activities, which include printing, engraving, décor designs, fabrications, installations and whatever related tasks as per the client’s requirement. The company is also known for its expertise in router cutting and engraving activities to provide designs carved out of sunboards, MDF materials and other rigid substrates for POPs, entrance tops, events, etc.

Next move

Sky is the limit for innovations at Printing Palace! “Since we keep eying to grab whatever innovative trends surfacing in the signage market, electroluminescence (EL) display system will be a next big thing we would like to catch on in near future,” mentioned Rajesh. He explained that EL is a sort of innovative display system created as an optical or electrical phenomenon in which a material emits light in response to the passage of an electric current or to a strong electric field. Thus, apart from being a house of complete signage solutions, Printing Palace can be defined as a powerhouse of innovations in the region’s signage market!
