The newly launched 24-inch HP Designjet T120 and 24 and 36-inch Designjet T520 ePrinters are designed for small AEC teams who need fast, professional printing. But it is not the end of competencies of these entry-level, web-connected large-format printing solutions. Mid-size firms including small offices, freelancers, PSPs, repro houses and retail shops are among those who would hook on these fresh large-format HP Designjet series printers.

Stay connected

HP’s second generation of its free web service helps Designjet Print & Share in easily accessible and printing large-format prints using iOS or Android tablet or smart phone, laptop or ePrinter touch-screen. Santiago Morera, vice president and general manager, Large-format Printing Business, Hewlett Packard said that the company’s expanded Designjet portfolio helps their users stay connected where their jobs take them.

Particularly referring AEC workgroups, Javier Larraz, director and general manager, Graphics Solutions Business – Large-Format Printing Design, HP Asia Pacific and Japan mentioned that the professionals these days need the printing solutions which can handle a dynamic, collaborative workflow allowing the users to easily access, share and print. He further mentioned that HP Designjet series provides them the means of connectivity, flexibility and efficiency as per their requirements.

Easier than ever

New portfolio of the HP Designjet series features mobile access and printing using Print & Share account, which connects to the printer and internet capable device. “Compounding complexity in the work environment with the growth of mobile devices and use of ‘cloud computing’ services is surging. So, professionals need a solution that can enable them to collaborate and interact with their peers beyond internal and external peripheries,” said Mahesh Soni, country manager, Design, HP India.

“With the new series of HP Designjet printers, our customers who are not only the AEC professionals but also those running mid-size offices can focus on boosting collaborations, extending infrastructure so that they can be just as productive on tablets and smart-phones as they are on laptops to make their business secure in an increasingly digital and complex environment,” asserted Mahesh. Additionally, he conveyed that this newly unpacked portfolio of the Designjet printers opens a new market in which HP wants to encourage ownership of professional printers to a target group who used to outsource their mid-size jobs earlier.

Designjet advances

HP Designjet T520 ePrinter achieves sharp details up to 2400 dpi with a long life printhead. It can process complex files at high speed, D print in 35 seconds, which are capable due to 1GB RAM and HP-GL/2 technology of the printer. This series is perfectly and suitably designed for photos, maps, retail-shop displays, architectural designs, etc.

Two printers in one, HP Designjet T120 is the smallest printer in its class and it prints using B+ tray or 24-inch front loading media roll. This tiny web-capable printer can be installed conveniently in any corner of an office or shop or studio or any place as it compatibly runs through Wi-Fi connectivity. Indeed a new chapter of printing has opened with these HP Designjet series which would allow printing from virtually anywhere!
