HP announces Digital Awards 2010

To recognise the outstanding achievements and contributions, innovations and creativity coming out of Print Service Providers (PSPs) in the signage industry across Asia Pacific and Japan, Hewlett Packard (HP) has conferred Digital Awards 2010 on a group of distinguished companies.

This year’s awards attracted over 100 entries for the five key categories from across the region. The winning entries were closely selected based on the degree of marketing appeal; best use of inks & colours; creative print application and overall aesthetics. The five categories included:

  • Transit Graphic covering vehicle wraps and fleet graphics

  • Interior Advertising includes point-of-sale materials, interior signage, and floor or wallpaper graphics

  • Outdoor Advertising targeting building wraps, billboard signage, floor graphics, backlit signage and textile (flags & banners) graphics.

  • Printing on Rigid substrates towards decorative printing on rigid substrates such as glass or ceramic or wood.

  • Green Digital Printing covering print jobs done using a combination of inks (latex inks, UV inks) and printing substrates (cotton-based fabrics, non-PVC-based banner, recycle paper)

The Platinum Award from across all categories goes to Caler Factory (Beijing) Pioneer Technology Corporation. This China-based company also won Gold & Silver awards in Transit Graphic and Interior Advertising categories respectively. Clinching the Best Creative Award was “Innovative Out of Home Floats” by Pearl Graphics, a Pakistan-based company. Winners announced in each category also included five from India.

Print Home – Gold award in Interior Advertising category

Autostriping India Pvt Ltd – Bronze award in Transit Graphic category

Macromedia Digital Imaging & JMD

Digital Art Xchange – Bronze award in Outdoor Advertising category

Studio Printart – Bronze award in Green Digital Printing category
