Arlon introduces short-term promotional film


Arlon announces the launch of new short-term promotional removable film, DPF 510 Removable, which is a new addition to the company’s product line. This newly unpacked film is available in Gloss (DPF 510GTR) and Matte (DPF 510MTR) finishes, featuring low tack adhesive that will be removable up to one year after application. The film is considerably the perfect solution for short-term POP, tradeshow and window displays. DPF 510 Removable features a two-sided, lay-flat poly-coated liner providing a consistent, vibrant print quality and is compatible with a wide variety of print systems including eco-solvent, solvent and latex. This new addition will offer an adhesive-free removability making the removal of any graphic stress free.


ONYX Graphics releases ONYX version 12.1

ONYX Graphics announces the availability of ONYX 12.1 software, the latest version of the company’s wide-format print workflow and RIP products. ONYX 12.1 software features accelerated speed and performance, a simplified user interface, enhanced automation and advanced finishing tools to do more in less time. The software is available for the full ONYX product line including ONYX Thrive workflow software, ONYX ProductionHouse, ONYX PosterShop and ONYX RIPCenter RIP software.


SPGPrints unpacks textile printer
for interior decor and wall-covering



Based on their unique Archer Technology, SPGPrints is launching a new digital printer designed for applications pertaining to interior decors and wall-covering. The system was unpacked at Heimtextil 2017 organised from January 10 – 13 at Messe Frankfurt, Frankfurt-am-Main, Germany. The new inkjet printer is designed for a wide range of decorative textile products, including soft-signs, bed linens and others. At the heart of the new printer is Archer Technology that accurately fires variable drop sizes to create sharp details, fine lines, solid blotches and smooth gradations on a broad range of substrates. Javelin, has a 3,200 mm width capability to handle printing of deco textiles of all kinds at the speed of 550 sq m/hr.


ORACAL 970 premium cast wrapping film released

In response to the expanding vehicle wrapping market, Antalis has announced the launch of ORACAL 970 range from ORAFAL, a portfolio of premium wrapping casts. A multi-layered, high performance cast PVC film (100 micron), this newly launched ORACAL film is specially designed for complete wrapping, particularly of vehicles. ORACAL 970 is available in 30 popular colours in gloss, matt and metallic finishes, as well as a super matt option in black.


Mimaki launches systems for printing
directly on cylindrical objects at 360 degree


Kebab MkII and Kebab MkII L—these are two latest systems launched by Mimaki to incorporate in its UV inkjet printers for printing directly on cylindrical objects at 360 degree. With these systems, Mimaki UJF-3042MkII, UJF-6042MkII and UJF-7151 Plus printers are now enabled to print directly on various cylindrical objects with length ranging from 300mm upto 600mm. Minimum and maximum diameters of cylindrical products range is from 10mm to 110mm, and it can include wine and water bottles, seals, candles, among others, making printing possible on single on-demand original products.




KIIAN Digital offers new Digistar Display sublimation ink

Latest from KIIAN is Digistar Display sublimation ink that ensures vivid colours along with excellent printability. The range consists of eight colours, four processes, two light colours and two spot colours. Such gamut of the ink series enables wide colour reproduction. Extensive research and development has produced an ink which is exceptionally stable and enables consistent printability, even in changing operating conditions. KIIAN Digital launched the ink at the recent FESPA China 2016 held in Guangzhou.


Two new HP DesignJet Z-Series models introduced in India


HP Inc India has announced two new HP DesignJet Z-Series models in India for high-impact graphics. The newly unpacked printers are HP DesignJet Z5600 and Z2600 PostScript printers. The former is a 44-inch multi-roll printer and the latter a 24-inch high-impact system. Both the models come with a six-ink printing system, which helps users cut cost by reducing ink consumption up to 20 percent, while ensuring crisp colours. Perfectly engineered for copy shops, retailers and corporations, specifically GIS departments, the printers with new HP chromatic red ink enhance the colour gamut and both are ideal for high-impact point of purchase (POP) signs and posters.

“Our customers today are demanding an enhanced colour gamut with higher affordability and productivity,” said Devang Karia, country manager, Large-Format Design, GSB, HP Inc India. He added that the high impact graphic printers address the need of printing high-impact indoor graphics & GIS applications enabling users to differentiate amid competitors. Chromatic red in the newly launched printers provides enhanced colour gamut in the areas of colour space that favour applications such as retail POP/POS and poster applications for customers like copy shops and in-store sign makers.


Roland DG rolls out Metaza
MPX-95 photo impact printer



Roland DG has introduced its latest system—Metaza MPX-95 Photo Impact Printer. SHD-60 Premium backlit flex


New Delhi-based Sun Sign & Technologies has shown the dexterity of Starflex SHD-60 Premium backlit flex, designed for brilliant, colourful and long-term applications. This backlit flex material is a PVC banner featured with added characteristics including non-woven texture. Such added features make Starflex SHD-60 Premium excellent light transmission with less illumination required for backlit. Common applications of this new Staflex media include both indoor and outdoor backlit displays including airport signs, interior light-boxes, backlit boards, mall branding, among many others.
