Record footfalls
received at Chennai edition of
Sign India 2016


The recent Chennai edition of Sign India 2016 marked a new milestone of success in terms of footfalls. Organised by Business Live, the expo drew a new record footfall of 9,800 trade visitors rushing from far and near corners of the country. Main attractions at the expo included the key product launches.


Executed from November 05-07 at Chennai Trade Centre in Chennai, the 22nd edition of Sign India, one of the leading indoor and outdoor advertising and signage industry expos in the country, had built up a network between a host of key exhibitors and trade visitors. According to the organisers, exhibitors were unanimous in expressing satisfaction about the quality of visitors and the volume of business/enquiries they received during the show. Around 96 percent of them (exhibitors) would rate the show positively, expressing willingness to take part in the next edition too.

The huge chunk of visitors to the expo was in active buying mood and many of whom finalised orders at the show itself, making Sign India one of the strategic marketing platforms for the signage and advertising firms and professionals.

Key exhibitors

Among the key exhibitors showing newer range of products and technologies at the Chennai edition of the show were a string of big names representing diverse parameters, including digital, solvent, eco-solvent, inkjet, UV flatbed, 3D printing, plotting, laser engraving, sublimation, CNC routing, LED lighting/display, POP, sign manufacturing, showroom display, kiosk, vinyl media, digital stock images, corporate gifts, ink supply, software, portable display systems, standee makers, among others.

Launch pad

In addition to the key showcases, the show witnessed a series of new product launches, creating brand awareness, and most importantly, helping those endeavoring to get a foothold in the country’s lucrative and rapidly growing signage market. Many of them used the expo as a strategic platform to launch their products and technologies in the south Indian signage market.

During the expo, many of the participants said they will surely participate in the next 23rd edition of Sign India, to be held from January 27-29, 2017 at Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, signifying the strength of the show. Moreover, Business Live has announced the 24th edition of the expo to be organised for the first time in New Delhi from June 24-26, 2017 at Pragati Maidan.
