Goldtech Graphics is worth mentionable as one of the successful indigenous manufacturers of digital wide-format inkjet printers in India. Products and service of this manufacturer based in Sahibabad Industrial Area in Ghaziabad meet the need of PSPs to the utmost satisfactory level, in terms of quality and price. NARAYAN GUPTA, Director, Goldtech Graphics Pvt Ltd, in conversation with SIGN & GRAPHICS, narrates why Goltech products are widely acclaimed.

Goldtech Graphics got upgraded from a mere ink supplier to a widely recognised digital wide-format printer manufacturer. “We made our first entry into the industry as an ink dealer in 2004, and then we started manufacturing wide-format printers in the year 2011, with the opening of our plant at Mohan Nagar in Ghaziabad,” says Narayan Gupta, Director, Goldtech Graphics Pvt Ltd. He continues, “After that we shifted to Sahibabad Industrial Area, in a bigger area of 1300 sq m. Earlier, it was just a 500 sq m space at Mohan Nagar.”

Product portfolio

Digital wide-format printers manufactured with ‘Make in India’ tag at Goldtech Graphics are of diverse variants equipped with Konica Minolta (KM), EPSON and RICOH printheads. “New in the portfolio is the high speed 10.5 ft Megajet 3304 solvent printer with eight KM 512i printheads of 30 pico litre, which runs at the speed of 2600 sq ft/hour,” mentions Narayan.

Popular Goldtech (GT) solvent models now available at Goldtech Graphics are RHINO GT-3304/08 PH, RHINO-3304/08 KHi, GT-3304/08 KHL and RHINO 3304/08 KH. RHINO GT-3304/08 PH can take up media up to 3300 width for churning graphic prints in 1440 dpi. RHINO-3304/08 KHi is equipped with Konica Minolta 512i printhead (4 and 8) designed for taking media of 3200 mm width and capable to print at 240 sq m/hr in 1400 dpi resolution.

Goldtech Graphics launched its first 10.5 ft eco-solvent printer in the year 2014. In the pipeline is another eco-solvent system—Ultrajet with EPSON printhead technology. “This new eco-solvent printer is designed for a wide range of applications, including signage graphics, textile prints, as well as coding and marking,” explains Narayan. He mentions that the printer can take print width up to 1880 mm at the maximum print speed of 20 sq m/hr. So far, Goltech Graphics has installed 300 printers all over India.

SIGNCUT laser engraver

Expanding its existing product portfolio, Goldtech Graphics has introduced SIGNCUT, a 3x4 ft CO2 laser engraving machine, available in CX-13090 and CX-14090 models. The machine features multiple laser heads, but it can cut by a single head too, for which the laser power will be adjusted separately. SIGNCUT is designed to cut a range of non-metallic materials, such as plastic, plexiglass, paper, leather, cloth, among others at the engraving speed of 72000 mm/min and 70000 mm/min cutting. Narayan says SIGNCUT features a highly-efficient and high-precision control system for highly efficient production, high processing speed and stable performance. SIGNCUT not only cuts text, but also graphics.

Regional branches

With its head office and manufacturing plant at Sahibabad Industrial Area in Ghaziabad, Goldtech Graphics has an assembling plant of 5000 sq ft in Pune and regional branches in Lucknow and Hyderabad, apart from sub-dealers all across the country. There are 35 well-trained engineers at the company’s Sahibabad plant, whereas the Pune plant has seven engineers. When asked about quality control they implement, Narayan says they conduct it running the new machines at least two consecutive days. “While in the process of manufacturing we closely observe every single step, concentrating on control and calibration of bed alignment, X& Y carriage movement, vacuum section, ink supply system and others,” he explains.

“Sometimes we found that many print service providers have little or no knowledge of handling a sudden breakdown of a printer. Keeping such situation in mind, our customers are provided with full information about operation, functions, technologies and competencies of our printers in form of a training programme in a CD,” says Narayan, adding that they also help their customers resolve any printer-related problem through online consultation. Goldtech Graphics maintains stocks of spare parts for every printer they produce as well as others popularly available in the market—such as Infiniti, Wit-Color, MyJet and others. The spare parts available in the company’s regional dealers include ink pumps, ink tubes, rasters, long belts, ink level sensors, sub-tanks, cleaning valves, etc. When it comes to after-sale service, Goldtech Graphics’s team of engineers attends calls related to snag in machine or any sort of problem, immediately within 24 hours.

Next plan

Goldtech Graphics has gained a good market knowledge and experience in manufacturing digital wide-format printers of diverse technologies. The company is now gearing up to expand its UV portfolio with the introduction of a new 8x4 ft UV printer in near future. Narayan says the future of UV printing is lucrative and they are looking forward to bringing more UV machines as well as other best-in-class printers to the market.
