Negi Sign installs first Mutoh Viper
TX 90-inch printer in India

Constantly expanding their installation base in India, Negi Sign Systems & Supplies Co has recently accomplished a big achievement by installing their first Mutoh Viper TX 90-inch textile printer at Digital World in Noida.

“Equipped with eight drop-on-demand 360 nozzle printheads with eight colour channels offering full freedom of ink setup possibilities, Viper TX provides typical production speed up to 301.4 sq ft per hour and resolutions up to 1440 dpi,” stated Sheel Kumar Sharma, manager-textile division, Negi Sign Systems, adding, “Targeted at short run volumes varying from sample creation to small lot production, this direct digital textile printer enables to print directly onto textile with open or closed structure for application possibilities such as soft signage, flags, wall murals, trade-show exhibits, fashion textile, shop awnings, outdoor advertising, home furnishings, curtains, cushions, wallpaper, etc.”

Ashok Gupta of Digital World with Viper TX
“Incorporated technology of Viper TX for textile printing, including ink gutter makes the printer fit for performing better. The ink gutter positioned under the printing path collects all the ink that is not absorbed by the textile. With the incorporated drain, cleaning the gutter is easily performed, no need to take out the gutter. A motorised heavy-duty unwinding/winding system with front and rear sensorised tension bars offers perfect media tracking, resulting in straight winding on the take-up roll. As such, prints are optimally prepared for after-treatment (e.g. calendar unit, steamer, washing unit, dryer, etc). The system accepts media rolls up to 100 kg (2”/3” core) with a maximum diameter of 300 mm. Scroller free front & back roll media handling is easy, fast and convenient due to two sets of repositionable flanges,” he conveyed further. The variable head height from 1.2 mm up to 4.0 mm allows the user to print onto sensitive media or media with long fibres, without risking a head-strike.

Meanwhile, the company has also installed Mutoh RJ900, a 52-inch width sublime action printer at Boom Graphics, New Delhi; and Rock-hopper, a 87-inch width direct textile printer at Digital Creation in Faridabad.
