FUJIFILM opens its first
‘Demo Centre’ in India at Mumbai

Designed to demonstrate the latest innovations in graphic art technology

For showcasing its flagship products and capabilities, FUJIFILM has recently opened its first Demo Centre in India at Mumbai. The centre is designed to give a real time experience of the company’s large-format printing prowess, demonstrating a portfolio of its high-end printers including the latest version of Acuity LED 1600. SIGN & GRAPHICS sheds a spotlight on what all demonstrating at the first flagship demo centre of FUJIFILM in India.










In addition to the company’s unconventional range of largeformat printers, the first demo centre of FUJIFILM in India is featured with a ‘customer gallery’ showing print samples churned on Acuity printers using the award-winning Uvijet inks. At the landmark inauguration of the demo centre of around three-crore investment, Yasunobu Nishiyama, managing director, FUJIFILM India Pvt Ltd, said, “Our objective of opening a demo centre in India is to give a ‘live’ experience of our printers to our customers as ‘Seeing is Believing’. Highlighting their world-class printing technology, he further mentioned that FUJIFILM is committed towards providing the best user experience. The demo centre will serve as training ground for the company’s existing customers, providing provision for testing new substrates.

Products on demonstration

Including the latest version of Acuity LED 1600, printers shown at the demo centre consist of the whole gamut of wide-format inkjet (WFIJ) printers from FUJIFILM. Upgraded recently, the new version of FUJIFILM Acuity 1600 is a versatile largeformat LED UV printer with ultra-high quality and application flexibility. “Our range of Acuity printers has been a success with their speed, quality and precision in work. Moreover, they are energy efficient and much kinder to environment. We look forward to adding more products to our demo centre,” asserted Yasunobu Nishiyama.

New features in the upgraded Acuity 1600 consist of its fast printing mode capable to run at the speed of 355 sq ft/hour, which is more than 50 percent faster than the previous model, addressing customers’ demands for faster job turnarounds and lower output cost. Also shown at the demo centre is Acuity Advance Select, an all-in-one mid range FUJIFILM UV inkjet flatbed printer, which gives outstanding performance and quality in production of POP graphics and creative printing jobs.

Acuity EY of FUJIFILM is a flatbed printer, a true breakthrough in wide-format UV digital imaging technology, offering perfect combination of near photographic print quality, production output and investment cost. And these large-format printers at the demo centre can print on a wide spectrum of rigid and flexible media for unimaginable range of applications. Using FUJIFILM’s award winning Uvijet inks, the Acuity printers offer exceptional quality and they are truly affordable and offer faster return.

Growth projected

Since the graphic art business is one of the most important drivers of growth for FUJIFILM, the company is now looking at achieving 15 percent growth by the financial year 2016. In this, opening of its first demo centre in the country is the company’s novel initiative in the WFIP segment. With the landmark initiative, FUJIFILM wants to further strengthen its presence in the graphic art industry in India and increase its revenue with a more significant contribution coming from this segment.
