HP technology brings new
décor possibilities alive!


A fresh delivery from Hewlett Packard (HP) India is its new and state-of-the-art home and commercial décor possibilities through digital printing. Substantiating this prospect, HP recently sponsored a special exhibition of the acclaimed photographer Rohit Chawla's work at Religare Art Gallery, New Delhi.


Those who turned up at Rohit Chawla's recent photo exhibition in New Delhi experienced a rich portfolio of art and décor options being printed on different medias in different sizes, ranging from photo paper, fine art paper, canvas, flex, vinyl, cast vinyl and textiles to wallpapers and leatherite. Together, Rohit Chawla, HP and Arun & Rajiv Pvt Ltd have proved that not only commercial digital printing could meet extremely high-quality standards, it's also possible to do so using digital large-format industrial printers. With HP's digital printing, there are endless applications in home and commercial décors, counting right from small, medium and large frames and wall hangings to curtains, upholstery, furnishings, signboards and even wallpapers.

Future of décor segment

Profiles of visitors gathered at Religare Art Gallery included all big names in interior décor, top photographers, artists, brands/agencies and fashion designers along with digital PSPs. "HP Sign & Display technology is the future of super-wide printing which opens up new and exciting opportunities in the home and commercial décor segment. As home owners and organisations become more environmental conscious, we foresee increasing demand for the environment-friendly digital printing made possible by HP through latex inks range," said Dhirendra Khurana, country manager, Sign & Display, GSB, HP PPS India.

Technologies behind

Rohit Chawla has used HP Scitex FB700 and HP Scitex LX 850 printers to produce the large, high-quality exhibits flaunted at the art gallery. These HP printers are designed to increase the revenue-enhancing opportunities for print businesses while offering end-users high print quality and fast-turnaround times across a wider spectrum of applications. HP Scitex LX 850 features state-of-the-art innovation from HP that delivers maximum versatility and productivity to PSPs. And HP Scitex FB700 allows users to print high-quality results on any rigid and flexible media. It also features an optional 'white ink' which enables PSPs to offer new application possibilities like printing on clear substrates.
