Special zones

What it takes to make ISD’11 a distinguished sign expo in India would include its layout plan where the exhibition floor is clustered under specific ‘Experience Zones’. Categorised as Wrapper Zone, WallArt Zone, TextileTemptation Zone and Events & Show Zone, these specified zones are designed particularly for the end users in such a way that it could help them easily head to the exact exhibits where they would like to drop in.

Exhibitors speak

Hewlett Packard’s presence in the ISD’11 Expo will bring on display of its HP LX800, HP FB700, HP L25500 and HP Z6200 printers, signifying products on Latex and UV platforms with white inks. New thing unfolding during the expo will be the advantages of the company’s Digital Print Network (DPN) to PSPs and print buyers.

“Current outdoor market is getting competitive and thus shrinking the margins of all our print service providers. The community needs to think hard of inventing new ways to expand their portfolio and their margins. They will have to bring innovation and value addition to their biz. So, we want ISD’11 to be a show represented by many PSPs and print buyers, it should be an event wherein PSPs can think of new innovations and how to address the opportunity,” says Paresh Shetty, country business manager–Signage Imaging and Printing Group, Hewlett Packard Sales Pvt Ltd.

Apsom’s stand will be another corner of attraction with the company’s complete line of Roland RS Dye Sublimation (for textile), Roland RS-640 (indoor applications), Roland VS-640 (print & cut) and Colorjet Neptune (solvent). “As the industry is looking for new products and ideas for use in signage, including soft signage, we hope ISD’11 would bring good footfalls from corporate and agencies,” says Ravi Agarwal of Apsom adding that they expect a wider range of customers, effective promotion and publicity as well as enquires for the offered portfolio of products and applications during the show.

Gandy Digital (India), a direct business operation of Gandy Digital Inc in the Indian subcontinent is announcing the launch of its newest high-definition production class UV flatbed printing press Pred8tor with roll-to-roll option during the show. “Since it is difficult to bring in the system in a short possible time, we will be participating to show some of the samples of the printer to customers,” announces Chandan Mishra of Gandy Digital (India).

Chandan further mentions that ISD’11 is a ‘lead’ generation event for the company where they aim to reach out to the top digital printing service providers, POP/POS payers and high-volume screen printers during the show. “We would like to use the show as a platform to interact with the users and their expectation and familiarise them on the product advantages and benefits (of Pred8tor).

According to Chandan, emerging trends in the industry clearly shows the path for high resolution, high quality and productive systems (production class systems) replacing the entry level high cost printers in the segment of digital printing for graphic arts, signage and POP/POS applications. It is also evident that slowly the analog migration of print jobs to digital is also in rise. The market also indicates that UV has become very stable and will continue to grow.
