ColorJet takes ‘innovations & technologies’ to another level
Installed 3,000 machines in India and 500 overseas

What it takes to recognise ColorJet in both domestic and international arenas are its unconventional ‘innovations and technologies’ designed and engineered perfectly, efficiently and eco-friendlily to help PSPs gain fresh business momentum. SIGN & GRAPHICS explores the latest developments and achievements at this largest digital inkjet wide-format printer manufacturer of India.


Having been manoeuvred out of its unique ‘3E’ Design Philosophy: Economic, Efficient & Ecological, ColorJet has garnered a leadership position today, for its deep commitment to technological innovations, strong outreach and customer-first approach. Of the latest developments, the company has recently designed ‘Innovation Laboratories’ in its state-of-the-art production plant in Noida (Delhi-NCR), with an aim to constantly innovate technologies in accordance to match the best of industry standards. “Our technological innovation strength has been recognised by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India,” said Smarth Bansal, senior product manager, ColorJet India Ltd. He added that they also become a star exporter house of India, yet another accomplishment of the company, among many others.

UV & textile portfolio

ColorJet boasts a machine portfolio of diverse technologies and models, which consist of a range of textile and UV printers, designed for pushing innovations to another level. “Our UV machines are ranged from a five-metre roll-to-roll printer to a mini flatbed for corporate gifting. In between we have flatbed printers with LED and mercury technology designed for different market requirements,” mentioned Smarth. Mention of the company’s popular UV range may include the VERVE, VERVE LED and VERVE Mini (all true flatbed), and ColorJet VULCAN UV Roll-to-Roll.


“When it comes to ‘textile line’ our portfolio ranges from high-speed industrial systems to printers which are used by fashion export houses for sampling and regular productions,” claimed Smarth. Some of the popular textile printers of the company are: VASTRAJET (direct-to-fabric), FABJET DUO (dual ink direct to fabric), METRO (high-speed textile printer), AURAJET-D SERIES II (dye-sublimation), FABJET GRAND (grand-format direct-to-fabric) and COLORJET TXF (eco-friendly digital textile with pigment ink). In this domain, according to Smarth, more than 70 printers have so far been installed in India as a lot of textile firms engaging in expo business are using ColorJet machines.

In addition, ColorJet has a solvent line comprising widely popular SOFTJET Series (Grand and Plus), POLO Series (Turbo and XE), IRISJET and NEPTUNE, all perfectly designed for signage graphics of all sizes and textiles.

Installation base

In total, ColorJet till date has installed more than 3,000 machines in 600 cities across India, which in turn makes ‘Colorjet’ a preferred choice for everyone around, because of the versatilities in quality and standards the ColorJet machines offer. In this, Smarth modestly said, “Today we can say that out of every two outdoor sites in India one may be printed on a ColorJet machine.”

Beyond India, ColorJet has a strong presence in more than 14 countries, including Australia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Dubai (UAE), Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kenya, Greece, among others. “Very soon, in near future, one can see our presence in the European countries too. Our overseas installation base as of now is more than 500 machines serviced by a team of seven engineers and five product specialists based out of ColorJet International’s head office in Dubai,” said Smarth.

Footprint Down Under

Over the years ColorJet has developed a strong footprint in Australia. “Well, Australia is an important market for us now as we do two shows in a year there and grabbing the market share quite aggressively,” said Smrath, adding that they have installed the company’s range of printers including five-metre UV roll-to-roll, flatbed, solvent and eco-solvent. ColorJet is now gearing up to launch its textile range soon in Australia, where Jetmark Signage Supplies Group is the company’s channel partner in the country.


ColorJet’s achievements have been recongnised and honoured the world over with trophies and accolades, which include: 6th Imaging Solution Awards (India’s Largest Manufacturer of Wide-Format Digital Inkjet Printer; Rising Star of Asia Award—Indo-ASEAN Global Investment Summit; Most Trusted Brand of India – Indian Brand Convention 2017 and more. “Above all, the most important award for ColorJet is the trust and faith our customers have shown in us, thus making us the largest manufacturer in India, grabbing a 40 percent market share today,” said Smarth.

For brand promotion and global footprint expansion, ColorJet keeps participating in popular international expos, such as FESPA, APPPEXPO, Visual Impact Sydney, Pacprint Melbourne, SGI Dubai, ITMA Asia, ITMA, among others. Colorjet always keeps focus on newer technologies along with effective ecological footprints, since the industry is moving towards greener mediums of advertising. “We are working on more eco-friendly solutions to keep the environment safe along with developing unique technologies to make ‘ColorJet’ the most preferred and trusted brand for signage and graphic art companies,” said Smarth. ColorJet is showing its ‘innovations & technologies’ at Media Expo 2017 in New Delhi, to be held from September 22-24 at Pragati Maidan.
