HP roadshows in Chandigarh and
Ahmedabad bring benefits of Latex to PSPs


Acknowledging the outstanding benefits of Latex technology to print service providers (PSPs), HP organised two roadshows successively in Chandigarh (January 11-12, 2012) and Ahemdabad (January 24-25, 2012). The pan-India programmes of the company underlined unique advantages of Latex technology using water-based inks and its proven eco-friendly printing to the industry.



HP Latex Roadshow that kicked off in Chandigarh with an objective of promoting eco-friendly printing technology opened up the PSPs to a new world of greener and healthier printing. The signage markets of Chandigarh and Ahemdabad have further been strengthened their positions with the new Latex printing technology designed with environment in mind. Latex is a breakthrough technology that uses water-based ink, which helps PSPs reach new levels of productivity with high-speed and high-quality printing.

Technology demo

Demonstrated during the roadshow, HP L25500 printer offered double-sided printing capabilities and could handle roll feed with less user intervention and more accurate and automated registration. Compatible with more than 500 media solutions, HP Latex ink provides a consistent, reliable performance across a variety of substrates apart from being non-flammable and non-combustible. HP L25500 can take care of both outdoor and indoor signage print applications and requires no special ventilation.

Paresh Shetty, business unit manager- Signage, HP India conveyed that Latex is the future of super-wide printing and is going to provide explosive growth to the customers. He further mentioned, “Today, organisations are becoming more environment conscious and breakthrough technology like this is the need of the hour.” Through the roadshows, HP endeavoured to help its partners grow their businesses while reducing the total impact of printing on the environment. Since HP Latex printers have been successful world over, this technology is finding good footprints in India as well.

Application range

HP Latex printer churns out quite a versatile range of soft signages like outdoor banners, indoor/outdoor graphics; light boxes–film and paper; POP/POS; indoor polyester fabric signage; bus shelters, vehicle graphics, etc. It is compatible to print on both sides of the media, decreasing the cost and increasing the speed of the print job. Its water-based, odourless ink is easy to run, with no hazardous air pollutants and recyclable cartridges.

HP Latex ink provides a consistent performance which is also non-flammable and non-combustible. At the Ahemdabad leg of the roadshow, Puneet Chadha, director- Graphic Solutions Business, HP India asserted that HP believes in innovations in the printing space. “Now, HP’s Latex technology promises the industry a greener tomorrow,” he concluded.
