Behold! Single largest graphic ever in India

Commuters around Gurgaon city might usually find DLF Gateway Tower as a landmark building. But the tower has become more than that today as every passerby turns to catch a glimpse of the spectacular 45,000 feet ‘one way vision’ graphic of Videocon wrapped on the gigantic high-rise by Positive Images using 3M Stotchcal IJ 1229 Perforated Window Marking Film.

The fact that the Indian signage industry being surged to a new level has been proved with the magnificence of new works surfacing around. The breathtaking graphic of Videocon on DLF Gateway Tower is an absolute instance in this respect. This ‘one way vision’ signage is considered to be the first single largest graphic ever in the country. Applied on two sides of the building, one of the major challenges faced by Positive Images during the wrapping process was the height of 240 feet above the ground.

The wrapping in progress ...
New Delhi-based Positive Images is a 3M certified graphic manufacturer known for its extensive graphic applications across the country. Quite a thrill to recollect the experiences, the company’s application on one side of DLF Gateway Tower’s glass facades completed in 28 days in spite of rain, cold climate and harsh wind of Gurgaon. And the challenge continued as the other remaining side was scheduled to complete in twenty days.

Of course, the overall credit of this landmark building-wrap goes to everyone involved for their priceless contributions. Inhouse was the agency which played a remarkable role in architectural study and designing of the giant graphic. As far as the printer behind this stunning graphic is concerned, there was HP Scitex printer that produced the mammoth output.

“We are extremely grateful to those whose continuous efforts and hard works helped us complete this project,” says Ahmar Waqar, partner, Positive Images.

Though 2009 being wrapped up, the groundbreaking wrap of DLF Gateway Tower will remain as a cherished footprint left by the bygone year.
