Captive transport fleet : advertising on the way

Right advertising is important for any business and corporates try their best not to leave any stone unturned. While different kinds of static/moving signs and billboards are common, another popular way of advertising today is dressing up the delivery vehicles into moving billboards. And this is possible with vehicle graphics, which can turn any vehicle into a moving sign.
In today’s fast-paced life, people are spending less time in their home and are therefore less exposed to traditional media like print, TV, radio, etc. In such a scenario, outdoor advertising is a perfect way for reaching people on the go and this is why corporates assign a hefty budget for their outdoor advertising. There are a number of options available for outdoor advertising - billboards (both static and scrolling), kiosks, bus shelters and fleet advertising, to name a few.

Vehicle advertising has been present for a couple of years now, starting with static billboards to scrolling and even electronic billboards. Nowadays, even the delivery trucks are wrapped in brandings, advertising wherever they go.

Vehicles wrapped in colourful ads can be spotted anywhere, while moving on the road, halting at the traffic signals or even parked at the parking lot - day in and day out. These signs are noticeable 24x7. Wherever such vehicles go, they leave a trail of branding behind. This is the reason why more and more corporate are turning their fleet of delivery vans and trucks into moving billboards.

Take a look at the delivery trucks for the Reliance Fresh outlets. These bright red trucks with green graphics give a fresh feeling. The words ‘Reliance Fresh’ are readable at all the four sides of the trucks, giving an immediate brand recall. These vehicles are nothing but huge moving billboards, spreading across the message that Reliance Fresh offers fresh products.

These beautiful graphics have been printed on 3M IJ 180 C vinyl using a HP 9000 printer by Macromedia Digital Imaging, Hyderabad. Macromedia is well-known for its fleet of HP Scitex machines, including the first HP Scitex FB6700 in India.

Vehicle advertising is bound to grow in the coming years and electronic mobile billboards can be the future of this transit advertising.
