An all-in-one 10-ft printer from Colors Digital India (CDI)

Manufactured under the ‘Make in India’ initiative at its state-of-the-art manufacturing plant at Kasna Industrial Area in Greater Noida, Delhi-NCR, Heavy Body TM-Gen5 is one of the latest releases from Colors Digital India (CDI) whose machines are not only versatile but also economically viable. This newly released machine is said to be designed as an all-in-one model because of its compatibility to handle solvent, eco-solvent, and UV printing altogether in one system.
Equipped with RICOH Gen-5 grayscale piezoelectric printhead with 1280 nozzles, capable to produce variable ink droplets with a minimum ink droplet of 7pL (pico litre), earlier, Heavy Body TM-Gen5 was designed for UV printing only. For the convenience of users, providing them wider options to use broader technologies, CDI has configured and converted the erstwhile UV printer into a versatile model capable to run either in solvent or eco-solvent mode.
“As we have reconfigured the Heavy Body TM-Gen5 as a multitasking system with a platform to handle eco-solvent and solvent printing too, this upgrade has opened up an unmatched opportunity for our customers who wish to produce graphic prints in wider colour gamut, graphic textures, and range of fresh applications,” tells Tejinder Singh, Director of Colors Digital India (CDI). He adds that this is one of the rarest technological advantages of CDI offering to its clients engaging in different businesses, handling turnkey projects of diverse graphics and applications at varied scales.
Capable to operate at an unprecedented speed of 900sqft/hr, Body TM-Gen5 is an ideally engineered system to print graphics up to 10ft in length. It consumes 3KW power with input of AC 220V, 50Hz. According to Tejinder, this all-in-one versatile printer with the RICOH Gen-5 grayscale piezoelectric printhead, also bundled with RIIN, Maintop, Photoprint, and Ultraprint RIP software solutions, is a new paradigm of solvent printing.
Demonstrated at the recent debut edition of Media Expo in Chennai, Body TM-Gen5 pulled huge crowd at the three-day expo. In this, Tejinder informs that they had received tremendous enquiries on the newly introduced all-in-one printer of multiple technologies, which ultimately impressed scores of trade visitors during the show, who were either the existing customers of CDI or those smitten by the new versatile printer.
