Industrial Print Excellence Awards to honour skill, talent, creativity & innovation of screen printing
Following the introduction of a new pavilion focused on technologies for industrial screen printing at Media Expo 2023, Messe Frankfurt India in collaboration with the Screenprinting & Graphic Association of India (SGAI) announces the Industrial Print Excellence Awards (IPEA) 2023, which will be held on the sidelines of 50th Media Expo. The awards will celebrate the established and emerging brands steering innovations across the industrial screen printing segment.
The screen-printing industry in India is multi-coloured and multi-layered. It has its presence across diverse segments like ceramic, industrial, CDs, POPs, advertising and many other unconventional digital printing domains including textile. Though the innovation in the sector is young, the industry has been continuously expanding at a healthy annual growth rate in excess of 15 percent.
Raj Manek, Executive Director & Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd, remarks, “As the country gears up to seize opportunities in manufacturing sector, I do believe that there exists a huge potential and scope of functional/industrial printing, although it remains largely hidden from view. Therefore, it is important for us to keep fostering innovation and creativity by celebrating these achievements of individuals and brands.”
Award categories
Industrial Print Excellence Awards (IPEA) will be divided into various categories, viz. Industrial Printing, Value Addition, Special Category and others. When it comes to industrial printing, it includes printing on membrane switch/touch panels; automobile-decal printing (two/four-wheeler graphics), automobile-speedometer, gauges/dials, automobile; consumer goods – membrane panel printing for refrigerators, washing machines, etc; doming application – mobile phone printing (body panel, keypad, inner pad, circuit, etc); solar cell application, printed electronics – PCBs and flexible PCBs, printed electronics, ceramic decoration (tiles and ceramic products); value addition category covers packaging and commercial print finishing; and special category includes security printing and smart/credit card printing, while other categories cover educational projects by students.

The works of the finalists will showcase in the ‘Awards Gallery’ arena at Media Expo Mumbai 2023 edition, presenting in front of an anticipated crowd of more than 14,500 professional trade visitors.
