Mutoh celebrates 70 years in business with new XpertJet 1682R Pro at FESPA Berlin 2022

Mutoh had a range of new equipment to show at FESPA including the newly launched dual printhead XpertJet 1682SR PRO. The FESPA Global Print Expo has also coincided with the 70th Anniversary of the manufacturer. Mutoh’s head of marketing in EMEA, Nick Decock, said the key point about this machine is that it utilises an eco-solvent ink which is free of a chemical substance that is set to be banned in digital printing inks. It comes with 2xCMYK setups and offers a low odour, fast drying, same day lamination option for sign and display graphics printers. XpertJet 1682SR PRO uses a revolutionary ink which has no GBL contained. This is important because in the near future GBL will be banned from inclusion in all digital inks. It can print anywhere between 25 or 36 sq m/hour depending on the usage and requirement, according to a source from the company. Other new products on show was a entry level dye-sublimation option, the XpertJet 1341WR PRO which represents a handy entry point for those looking to seek to break into this market.
