Innovative products & technologies galore at Eastern Signage 2022

After holding back for two years due to the pandemic impact in the market, in-person edition of Eastern Signage returns with the spectacular showcases of innovative products and technologies at its 6th edition held at Science City, Kolkata. The expo is rated to be the largest signage and display graphic expo in Eastern India.

Kolkata being the gateway to South-East Asia, the city is perfect to host the Eastern Signage, a premier signage and graphic arts expo in Eastern India. This year, the expo unpacked some new innovations and latest technologies for the crowds thronging from the Indian states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and North-East India. The expo also attracts visitors from the neighbouring countries like Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan.

Key exhibitors & showcases


Some of the leading companies took part in the Eastern Signage 2022, with their aim to capture the growing eastern India’s signage and graphic arts market. Like other companies expanding business into the eastern Indian market, Cosign India uses the Eastern Signage 2022 to introduce some innovative and game-changing products. “We have established a strong presence in Kolkata to look after the eastern Indian market.

Participation in such a landmark expo gives us the privilege to meet our existing as well as prospective customers,” says Tejasa Purandare. CEO, Cosign India Pvt. Ltd. The company launched a set of new products, such as new black Stato, 100 mm and bronze finish i-Sign, openable Light Box, etc.

Among the league of key participants were some new and first timers. Arrow Digital is one of them. “We are first timer here at the Eastern Signage. As debut participation we don’t demonstrate any physical machines, but a gallery full of EFI print samples. We will present some machines in the next edition,” mentions Prakash Chopra, Senior VP –Sales, Arrow Digital Pvt Ltd. Negi Sign Systems & Supplies Co demonstrated the prowess of its popular Mutoh XpeerJet and a line of Pizo and Nazdar inks. Sanjay from Negi Sign Systems & Supplies Co says it’s the company’s participation in the expo for the third successive edition to showcase their latest innovations and products.

HP India, in collaboration with its partner Trisita Marketing in Kolkata, demonstrated a line of key machines comprising HP Latex 800, HP Latex 335, HP DesignJet Z6, among others. Pramod Shrivastava, Sales Manager, Trisita Marketing Pvt Ltd, mentions that the physical expo finally helps them contact with some good old HP customers in Kolkata. Likewise, Canon India demonstrated some of its key LFP (large-format printers)—imagePROGRAF TM-5200 and imagePROGRAF TM-5300. “We have set our foot in the Eastern India’s market with strong installation base of our LFP in Kolkata,” says Abhijoy Bakshi, Senior Manager, Wide-Format Printing Department, Professional Printing Products Division, Canon India Pvt Ltd.

Axis Enterprises is another key exhibitor at the expo with a string of crowd-pulling products showcased at the company’s booth. The portfolio consists of mini UV machines and others. Mehta Cad Cam, with its channel partner Jayita Cad Cam Systems, showcased a complete range of machines under one roof. Diwakar Mishra, National Sales Manager at Mehta Cad Cam Systems Pvt Ltd, mentioned that the Eastern Signage is the connecting point to East Indian signage market. The colossal stand of Mehta Cad Cam demonstrates the whole gamut of printers, CNC routers and laser engravers, such as Prince (Seiko), Bruno (EPSON i3200), Blaze (KM 1024i), LX-1325, HT-1, Eva-4311, RaterJet 2513, among others.

AT Inks at its well-crafted stand showcased a line of UV-coating inks, designed for direct-to-polyester. Kamlesh Joshi, President – Manufacturing, AT Inks says the company’s showcase also includes the almirah coating and Hexxa brand of dye-sub ink which attracts a host of trade visitors from Bangladesh. On other side of the show floor, Sun Sign and Technologies showcases its newly launched Starflex SUNSIGN-ESBL-230 translite backlit film, which has been approved by SAMSUNG. “Unique features of the premium backlit film include its excellent light transmission for internally illuminated and backlit applications,” remarks Deepak Gupta, Director, Sun Sign and Technologies.

Signovate, a division of SS Industries, is a world full of imagination, innovation and design. The company is a regular participant in every edition of Eastern Signage since the expo’s launch. Sahil Sachdeva, Creative Head, Signovate, SS Industries, says the expo provides a prolific platform to network with their customers in East India. DAS CNC Technology is one of the leading CNC machine manufacturers in West Bengal—a regular participant in the Eastern Signage show.

Debutant True Colors to the expo showcased its range of popular 3.2 m UV flatbed printer which receives tremendous response from the crowd. Lisco is another crowd-puller at the show. The company demonstrated a line of highly demanded Gongzheng printers viz. GZM 3200KM, GZM HD906EI and GZM 32045G.

Vibgyor Creations India, one of the leading modular sign solution providers, participates in the expo for the first time. On this, H Mohhamed Fazil from Vibgyor Creations India, says they are quite enthusiastic about the new market exploration in the Eastern Indian signage and graphics arts segment. All praises from Nilakamal for the expo is that the visitors are quite focused as they know the value of products and quality of service.

Yet another impressive exhibitor at the show was Vinayak Impex, a leading manufacturer of SMPS, LED screen and signage solutions. Vikas Kumar from Vinayak Impex says the Eastern Signage is a premier trade expo in the Eastern India for the signage and graphic arts fraternity. One of the colossal stands at the show was of Monotech Systems, which showcases a gamut of machines like Mimaki JV100-1600, imagePROGRAF TM-5200 and imagePROGRAF TM-5300, and a gallery full of graphic samples printed on Monotech PixelJet UV printers.
