Held in concurrent with Print Expo 2026 at Chennai Trade Centre in Chennai, Media Expo Chennai 2026 marked the show’s successful second edition at the new venue where visitors from diverse print businesses thronged to the three-day expo for grabbing what’s new in the industry. Arrays of cutting-edge digital largeformat printing machines, technologies, and solutions were inspiringly shown and presented.
All buzz and excitement at Media Expo 2026 were for the latest solutions being exhibited. Among the big showstoppers, NEGI Sign Systems & Supplies Co. pulled crowds to its showcase of modern systems such as NegiJet Glen UV 1902 roll-to-roll printer designed to print graphics in 2400dpi with vibrant UV inks. Shaurya G Negi of NEGI Sign Systems & Supplies Co. said the versatile NegiJet system is presented specifically for the Chennai market. Another crowd-pulling exhibitor, Color Digital India (CDI) presented its groundbreaking 4060 UV printer that comfortably prints on tile, wood, glass, etc. Tejinder Singh, Director, Colors Digital India (CDI) Pvt. Ltd., said the new UV system is ideal for sign makers as well as commercial print shops.
The team MIMAKI India was present at Monotech Systems’ stall where demonstrated the new UJV200-160 offering at a special expo price. Kenichiro (Ken) Seki, MD, MIMAKI India Pvt. Ltd., said they have confirmed some orders of the machine during the expo. On the other side, DAKSH Enterprises demonstrated a select range of its CNC and laser engraving machines. Tajuddin Siddiqui, Manager, Daksh Enterprises, said the Chennai edition of the show is always productive with good response.
Sun Sign & Technologies (SST), also known as Starflex India, showcased its range of printing media including PE and LED solutions among which was Aleda LED. “This new Aleda LED solution which we introduce is for crafting smarter illuminated sign solutions of tomorrow,” said Deepak Gupta, Director, Sun Sign & Technologies (SST). JX Enterprise demonstrated six of its key Gongzheng products among which the Thunderjet AQ32UV (10-ft) was launched new at the expo. Varun S, Manager, JX Enterprise, said the show is attended by quality trade visitors. Among the major new product launches, Mehta Hitech Industries unpacked the TITAN Solvent Inkjet Printer with SEIKO RC 1536 Recirculation Printhead. Diwakar Mishra, National Sales Manager, Mehta Hitech Industries Limited, said a unique feature of the new TITAN printer is its ‘no purging capacity’. Kromodyne Digital Solutions (KDS) also introduced the revolutionary Kaleido Heavy 3200, an ultimate indoor & outdoor UV printer. Santosh Nair, Director, Kromodyne Digital Solutions (KDS) Pvt. Ltd., said the machine is capable of clocking 200sqm/hr with CPC less than 3 per sq ft and it operates in excellent gloss mode to produce outdoor graphics.
ESPON India showcased its flagship SureColor systems including the SC S7130, S9130 for signage printing and a sample gallery of SurePress L6534 VW digital label press. Gopala Krishnan from GPro Solutions, EPSON distributor in Tamil Nadu, said a number of good discussions regarding new orders had been made during the expo. Third Eye Technologies, a channel partner of Newclear Technologies, sealed some good deals of Allwin printers including a 4060 Pro UV flatbed printer during the expo. Padmajeth P, Managing Director, Third Eye Technologies, said the collaboration works well so far so good.
ColorJet Group demonstrated Roland DGXPRESS UG-642 UV printer/cutter and ER 641 R-641 eco-solvent inkjet printer as well as its own POLO XL solvent printer. Smarth Bansal, Associate Vice President, Colorjet Group, said the POLO printer is engineered perfectly for high-speed production printing. Deepa Publicity pulled attention of crowds to their showcase of PE (polyethylene) UV printable media. Biju Zachariah from Deepa Publicity Pvt Ltd said their products pave the road to total ‘green’ printing in the signage industry. Unique Sign Innovations demonstrated its revolutionary LANQI machines for hybrid printing with the launch of a new Smart 3D printer. Mohammed Ali, Managing Director, Unique Sign Innovations, said they have received good response from visitors on all three days of the expo. Wyte presented its innovative range of printable wall papers compatible with Latex and eco-solvent printing technologies. Gaurika Taneja, Director, Wyte Print India Pvt Ltd, informed that they are quite happy with the visitors’ footfalls and business enquiries they received.
Dikshita Agarwal, CEO, Vins International, a Group of Southern Agencies, informed that they use the expo as the platform to announce their partnership with Metamark. “We are now Metamark dealer in Tamil Nadu,” she added. Also, announced by Monotech Systems Limited was the introduction of PixelGrid, a comprehensive pre-press production software suite designed to simplify workflows for pre-press bureaus, commercial offset printers, publishing houses, and digital print businesses. “Near about three decades, we have worked to engineer PixelGrid,” informed TP Jain, MDr, Monotech Systems Limited.
Canon India spotlighted its newly launched Canon Unique Sign Innovations Vins International (Southern Agencies) imagePRESS V770, a digital press made for India, alongside a string of imagePROGRAF wide-format printers. Puneet Datta, Senior Director, Commercial & Industrial Printing, Canon India Pvt Ltd, said the portfolio represents everything forward-looking printers require. Other key exhibitors which drew crowds to their stalls were ADS LED, ITMS India, Sun Sign Traders, Accurate, Morix, and others.
