Dinesh Plastic Works installs
HandTop UV flatbed from JN Arora & Co

Planning for a roll-to-roll in the same brand from the same supplier

Based in New Delhi, Dinesh Plastic Works is an out-of-box signage company whose products are widely acclaimed for quality, consistency and unconventional looks. Behind such attributes of the company is its state-of the-art production facility, which has recently been upgraded with a HandTop HT 3116FR6 UV flatbed printer from JN Arora & Co. DINESH SHARMA of Dinesh Plastic Works gives reasons why they specifically went for the printer in a chat with SIGN & GRAPHICS.

In addition to the added features and versatility of the HandTop HT 3116FR6 that they have just adopted, what had instilled Dinesh Sharma to go for the UV flatbed printer was the after-sale service of JN Arora & Co, which is a sole distributor of HandTop systems in the region and known for their technical support team’s round-the-clock vigil. “Though our new HandTop UV flatbed printer has just been installed around a few months ago, we have been closely linked to JN Arora Group for years and we know them and their committed service very well,” he remarks, adding that Dinesh Plastic Works has been pushing their quality bar to a new level since their adoption of the new UV flatbed printer.

“The new HandTop flatbed printer in our facility is built on a proven flatbed technology for simplicity, durability and ease of operation. In a nutshell, I like to say this printer runs with an ‘unparallel performance’ delivering unmatched outputs,” says Dinesh. HandTop HT 3116FR6 UV flatbed printer is indeed a printer capable to deliver unsurpassed quality in variable drop sizes of 7, 14 and 24 with RICOH Gen-5 printhead, taking a media area of 3.1x1.6 m, printed in native 600 dpi resolution.

Moreover, HandTop HT 3116FR6 UV can detect the height of media up-to 100m thick and calibrate printhead distance for optical dot placement and image quality. Taking on both left and right passes, the printer instantly cures UV ink for fast production and its (optional) static suppression kit eliminates static on the substrate. It runs at 50 sq m at top speed and its reversible printing function facilitates the users to print reversibly, so that the carriage doesn’t require starting over. The repeat printing mode in the system allows the same images to be output repeatedly, which in turn saves time to re-rip jobs.

The current machine portfolio of Dinesh Plastic Works consists of high-end systems, in addition to the HandTop HT 3116FR6, which includes a Dilli Hybrid UV printer, Buye Laser engraving system and others like CNC routers. The company’s clients, according to Dinesh, are from all corners of the country. “We don’t deal directly with end-customers; our client list consists of only sign makers who work for projects for corporate companies,” says Dinesh. What the clients (sign makers) of Dinesh Plastic Works brought to them include in-shop display projects for corporate biggies, such as NOKIA, Oppo, Gionee, to mention a few from the mobile sector.

With a deeper focus on in-shop/interior area, expertise of Dinesh Plastic Works is production of PVC foamboard displays, tri-vision sign boards, wooden letters, modular display solutions, scrolling systems, backlit signs, among others. “We work with out-of-box concepts and our end products stand out among the conventional display systems,” mentions Dinesh, adding that they can now take innovations to a new high with the new HandTop UV flatbed printer.

Further, what has been planned for the next level update in the production facility of Dinesh Plastic Works is the adoption of another HandTop printer, which Dinesh said will be a roll-to-toll UV system.
