A Big attraction of little group of
wide-formats at Pack Print International 2017



Pack Print International 2017, in its sixth edition at Bangkok, has witnessed bustling showcases of advanced and upgraded machines and technologies that come under the radar of printing and packaging, among which some related to wide-format graphics received sheer visitors’ attention. Here’s a brief account of it.

Organised jointly by Messe Düsseldorf Asia, The Thai Packaging Association and The Thai Printing Association, Pack Print International 2017 at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Center (BITEC) at Bangkok, from September 20 – 23, drew a record-breaking crowd of 17,452 trade visitors from 59 countries lured by the showcases of products by 300 leading exhibitors from 25 countries, among them some belonged to wide-format segment in a little group attracting a big crowd.


Presence of a host of some leading companies showing wide-format printers made Pack Print International 2017 a perfect platform for all. Those key wide-format exhibitors present uniquely among others were FUJIFILM, OKI, RICOH, HP Inc and others. FUJIFILM demonstrated its versatile Equity EY flatbed UV printer. On the other side, RICOH Pro L4160 latex technology printer pulled crowd at the company’s stall. HP Inc was another crowd-puller showing its highly efficient HP Latex 3600 printer. Similarly, OKI showcased its ColorPainter M64S eco-solvent, stealing the show right from the first day of the four days of the expo.

Achieving a 20 percent increase in visitor attendance over the last edition of the expo (2015), exhibitors at Pack Print International 2017 were from Germany, Taiwan, China, India, Thailand, and for the first time, Singapore, all bringing future ready printing and packaging technologies and machines.

Seminars and conferences

The four days of the trade expo had insightful market information revealed through conferences, seminars and forums on new trends and developments attended by over 800 industry professionals and specialists. Gernot Ringling, MD, Messe Düsseldorf Asia, said Pack Print International has been an event for the industry, by the industry.
