With an expectation to attract around 28,000 visitors from China, neighbouring regions and other parts of the globe, FESPA China & CSGIA 2013 will be a platform to provide green and innovative developments in screen, textile and digital printing parameters. Nigel Steffens, CEO, FESPA and Pei Guifan, chairperson, CSGIA recently signed the agreement of co-operation between the two organising bodies.

Three objectives

Nigel Steffens asserted that while launching FESPA China in partnership with CSGIA they had three key objectives in connection to developing the existing event. First, they have to transform CSGIA into a more international event by attracting exhibitors from outside China and appealing to visitors from neighbouring countries. Second, they want to help CSGIA make the event more representative of the contemporary printing industry by giving it a greater focus on ‘digital’ technologies. “Chinese printers are recognising the importance of investing in digital to innovate and compete on the international stage for which they need guidance from FESPA and CSGIA and from the leading digital suppliers of the world,” said Nigel adding that the third point will be incorporating the type of educational and inspirational content which visitors expect from global FESPA events.

Main attractions

Free on-site ‘Future for Print’ conference and other activities on garment printing and vehicle wrapping will be some of the main attractions at FESPA China 2013 which will make visitors engaging and enlightening. Leading companies which have confirmed presence at the show include Epson, FUJIFILM, Kornit Digital, Mimaki and Mutoh. In the line-up of those which will feature as main speakers at ‘Future for Print’ are Hewlett Packard (HP), XAAR and Kornit Digital.
