Jumbo Digital Prints installs maiden NUR UV roll-to-roll printer in India

Vis-à-vis flatbed printers, how do
you rate the roll-to-roll machines?
“Actually, we cannot compare
flatbed with roll-to-roll UV
printers, as they both have their
individual applications. At one
point they overlap, at another,
they are totally different. We felt
the need for better and faster
output as all the applications
cannot be done on flatbed.
Flatbed has an advantage for
architectural set-up; but for dayto-
day showroom printing jobs,
we needed a very high-speed
printer. And with its roll-to-roll
speed, quality, environmental
friendliness and ability to print on
virtually any media available, it
will ensure NUR Expedio prints
a unique position in the wideformat
inkjet production printing
marketplace.

In this price-sensitive market,
what would be the cost per
square feet for this machine?
It varies from media to media, and
quantity also, so it’s really difficult
to give exact pricing, but it would
be extremely affordable and value
for money proposition,” told
Sandeep, taking the dream
forward.
In the Middle-East and European
countries, UV prints are
encouraged for indoor prints in
shopping malls and coffee shops,
so there is increasing demand for
UV printing. Such trends may
soon start off in India in near
future and Jumbo Digital Prints
seems ready to take up the
challenge. “We believe preparing
in advance for the future always
helps, so we are ready to adhere
to such regulations and ecofriendly
recommendations, if they
are introduced in India. And even
now, they are good to follow as
well,” he added.
