And the winner is...

In today’s competitive world, it is the constant desire of any organization to be able to perform well to be on the winning podium always. Under no circumstances, one is prepared to accept the defeat or in a crude terms - lose any job... specifically, which is of high value. But, winning is not that easy in the signage arena, where we have a plethora of sign makers, competing to excel. So, how can one be a sure-shot winner all the time in this competitive world?

In every industry, one can identify few organizations, which are ever growing inspite of plenty of obstacles and limitations. If one analyses the situation in detail, the results, which one will find, may include - the aspirations of people in the organization, their ability to forecast the opportunities and finally the modern set up with up-to-date equipments at their disposal to meet the challenging deadlines.

Let us take an example of Vodafone’s recent brand building campaign, being a massive project...as was quiet evident with their campaign, which was visible in every nook and corner of the country. Now, when Vodafone had decided to go on with the project, their first basic requirement was to find signmakers who have the capacity to handle such voluminous project without compromising on quality and still be ready on time. Moreover, it was such a dynamic project that all signages were to be installed over night, all over India.

Only those service providers who could afford to execute the dedicated quantum in the prescribed time frame, got the opportunity to paint the towns red, be it digital print service providers, fabricators or indoor’ “sign providers.” Such breed of organizations, though limited, are most of the time able to grab these kind of opportunities and continue with positive growth. This makes them confident not only to employ new set of people but also adopt new technologies, thereby investing significantly. Such organizations are well supported by the equipment manufacturers as well as consumable suppliers in terms of attractive pricing, technical support and even clients referral.

In a nutshell, the name of the game is if one wants to win over others, one has to equip better than others. Besides, the corporate law of ‘Perform or perish’ also holds good here; so to be a great performer, one has to have it all.
